Both IIT Delhi MTech Computer Technology and IIT Hyderabad Mtech CSE are excellent engineering programs. However, my personal suggestion is IIT Delhi Ctech. Here’s why IIT Delhi offers the best opportunities considering its rank in the top 3 IITs IIT Delhi holds the Institute of Eminence Status The brand value of IIT Delhi is much higher than the new IIT Hyderabad. IIT Delhi being old has a very beautiful campus with great natural beauty. IIT Hyderabad on the other hand has a newly established campu that is still under construction. A few major companies don’t visit new IITs like IIT Hyderabad. IIT Delhi, on the other hand, is visited by top IT companies like Amazon, Flipkart, Microsoft, Ola, Uber, Tower Research, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, Intel, Qualcomm, Samsung, etc The only disadvantage you might face at IIT Delhi Is the intense competition with CS students as they are all top rankers. I don’t mean to demean IIT Hyderabad but it’s a fact that the opportunities and exposure that IIT Delhi will offer cannot be compared to IIT Hyderabad.

What are my career prospects after pursuing M.Tech in Computer Technology (Electrical Dept.) from IIT Delhi?

My friend completed her M.Tech in Telecommunication Technology and Management from IIT Delhi and also did some extra courses in Computer Technology from Electrical Department. These courses usually cover Software related topics with very less focus on mathematical analytics and circuit design. Students from Instrumentation backgrounds expect Analytics and Design but the reality is IIT Delhi has very limited choices in this field. Most of the optional courses offered are related to CS and are much more promising than Analytics. If you are okay with programming, coding, and software development then go for it at once. Rest assured, you will never get to doubt the packages offered during the placements of Computer Technology. It has the highest packages among all the Electrical Department branches. You get what you seek, hence the more you are willing to get, the more opportunities you will have to explore other branches of IIT Delhi.

The college provides a scholarship program for their merit students and a scholarship for SC/ST/PWD students is also available. The college has 2 banks inside in it that makes it easy for one to apply for loan. During the admission time several banks set up their stall to provide with different kinds of aids. Also the institute has a good reputation therefore it is quite easy to get loan. There are enormous no of scholarships available for study in India as well as fir those who wish to continue their studies in foreign countries also.
