- I liked the campus beauty and the staff over here who are very supportive and the teachera who are ready for yoy every time you go to them and wven the hygine is maintained quite good here
- Faculty members in this department are the best atleast i think so, they interact with students in a friendly manner this allows us to freely ask our doubts and gain knowledge.
- Tution fee in each year is increased by 10 percent and there are number of scholarships and fee refunds for which a student can apply for after approval of his cirtificates and various other documents.
Dislikes
- Hostels - their is not sufficient hostels available for students and hostel mess is very bad. their is no student union available so it is very difficult to make some change in college.
- It is not so good as expected because of lack of facilities within the college.but according to social aspects and culture it is good and our nit is lacking infrastructure and this affects campus life too.
- It is a very small campus compared to the other nits, the college grounds are very small, and there are no separate buildings for the courses.

Placement is alright average stands at 14 lakh and 70% right now are placed in year 2024 already placement is better than few other collages most of it comes from the involvement of core companies in there branch

- Decent Placements opportunities and alumini network.
- Less fee of course and hostel & mess , Mess is run by students , so you can assure quality food.
- No ragging and friendly Seniors, Ragging is prohibited and seniors are quite helpful. Although, You have to reach out to them .
Dislikes
- Unavailbility of hostels for all students. Hostels are very less not even 50% of total intake.
- Campus feels small , but only in beginning . Later It will not mater for you.
Placement Experience:
Placements are quite good , depending on branch you will get several placement opporunities in incampus placements. Various companies visits our college for placement or internship opportunities like paytm (visited in 2023) ,D.E. Shaw(only for interns) etc.
Average package is 10 lpa across all branches and for cse it's 16 for IT it's 17.5 for 2022-2023.

- The schedule about syllabus completion is good.
- Fest events and club events are very good
- .campus is overall good an dprovide place for sports and extra carricular activities
Dislikes
- Infrastructure os not so good as it looks very old.
- All areas not used on campus activities.
- All water collers are not working properly and some don't give cold wayer during summer
Placement Experience:
In this specific placement year core placement are good otherwise if you are looking for non core placement then DA companies come as for SDE only limited branches are allowed to sit. Overall the placement stats are good with an approx of 80% placed

Placemens are decent from 6 th semester companies will provide internship opportunities but to go for placement until 7 th semester u have to wait almost max students get placed during placement u can also try for outside of campus

- Placement:here placements are just awesome. Average package is 13 lpa and avg package for IT and cse branches are 18 and 16 lpa respectively.
- Mess food: people also say home food is best. What I feel mess food here are good al, hygenic and healthy. Mess workers are friendly and cooperative.
Dislikes
- Hostels:hostel seats are not enough . Only limited students get hostels. On an average only 25 percent from each branch
Placement Experience:
Here placements are very good. What the most I like of my college is placements. Here overall placement percent is about 80 percent. Average package is about 12 lpa for college. Avg package for cse is 16 lpa and for IT is 18 lpa. Placements in upper branches like cse and IT is about 90 percent .

- Infrastructure is not so good here, class rooms are not good, no proper water facility, no good sports infrastructure for various sports such as basketball volleyball. Hostel facility is not here for homestate people even other state people struggle
- Faculties are good still they need to improve their way of teaching. Every class is very boring which makes me don't want to attend the classes. I feel like they should teach properly using there best way so that we can listen to them interestingly
- Hostel facility should be there for homestate people also so that they don't struggle near by the college finding rooms. In summer the AC should be switched on.

Course Curriculum Overview:
I chose metallurgical and materials engineering because I am inspired from my father and uncle who work in such plants where metallurgical practices are done. So I also want to see how metallurgy sector works.
This course teaches us about various things such a mineral and ore beneficiation, iron and steel making, non- ferrous metal extraction after this we study about casting and solidification after this metal is fully prepared and we study about physical metallurgy of the metals after that we study about heat treatment of metals transport phenomena and testing of materials.
More labs and practicals should be done so that we can experience everything thoroughly.
Teachers should teach well the lectures should not be boring.
Exams are taken here more frequently in a gap of one month. First mid sem is taken after 1 month end sem is taken.

- College is very good connectivity in terms of Railways. Roadways and Airports. College have a very near Railway Station just behind the college.
- Intelligent people around you always pushes you towards your goal and motivates you throughout your journey in NIT RAIPUR.
Dislikes
- Infrastructure is very bad here. Basic faculties like are absent. Poor drinking very bad internet connection campus internet laggs a lot.
- Professors, Guards and Assistants are very conservative in nature.
Course Curriculum Overview:
Biotechnology is a very immerging field and it excites me a lot. Biotechnologists demand is rising in India and entire world.
Talking with one faculty motivated me to join this programme. Faculties are most qualified and cooperative in this branch. They really enjoys teaching and you can learn so much from them. They all have multiple PhD and Post Docs from foreign universities. They are overacheivers of their batch. Their research are well recognized ones. They are very passionate. Curriculum is little bit tough but totally doable. You have study daily to score good. Placement is decent. You have to do efforts to get placed mostly non core placements. GATE and higher studies culture is very good here. Competition level is very good here. Teachers are so much willing to teach even they motivates us a lot. But students are not willing to attend classes and they bunk classes. Infrastructure is not too good here they are under developed but teachers qualities compensates every thing rating

Placement Experience:
NIT Raipur provide on campus placement so the placement comes in comes like into background for tech and for core as NIT Raipur consists of 11 branches any branches student can sit in tech placement also and the placement is also very nice in our college as it provide maximum student placed different types of companies like TCS Tata Aditya Birla deboi Amazon comes to our college even the Jindal company also come to our college for the course student and many more company visit to our college for internship and for placement the highest package as per the company is around 55 to 56 LPS or CTC and the average package is around 16 lakhs and the below packages is around 6 to 7 average I am talking about computer science and engineering branch and it is as similar as it also and core placement is some what different from technical placement.

As an alumnus of NIT Raipur, here are my views on this institution-
- Faculty- The faculty lags behind in terms of NIT standards. It is slightly above average. This is because their teaching method is not very engaging. That being said, the teachers are helpful. They will advise you to engage in extracurriculars as well.
- Student Interaction- The senior-junior interaction is good.
Despite IIT Raipur and AIIMS Raipur being in close proximity, interaction and
idea-sharing with them is negligible.
- Industry Connect- It has a good industry connection for some core branches like mining, metallurgy, and civil.
- Campus Life- The campus life isn’t good. But eventually, you’ll learn to cope with things and enjoy yourself. You’ll learn a lot during your degree from this campus.
- Infrastructure- There is a lot of room for improvement in the infrastructure of this college.
- Placement- Placement records are decent. Last year an average package of INR 10.1 LPA was recorded by the college. A total of 738 offers were made by 101 companies. Some of the companies that visit the campus for placements include- Infoedge, Siemens, Adobe, Barclays, Capgemini, FIAT, Reliance, TATA, SapientNitro, Oracle, Amazon, Samsung, JP Morgan Chase, Cognizant and Wipro.
Overall, I would say that NIT Raipur is a bit lacking in many respects. However, you’ll get a good chance to rise over here because of low competition.
