Should I take the biotechnology branch at NIT Raipur?

My brother completed his B. Tech in Biotechnology from NIT Raipur in May 2016. The reason for choosing it was because of the brand value. But after being in the college and started taking interest in the studies and various activities, it went on to be a great 4-year long journey. Biotechnology is an amazing subject with many interdisciplinary projects coming up your way. You can always combine your knowledge of biotechnology with other fields, like Electronics, It is a trustworthy institute for CSE. You will have to work yourself to achieve something big. Companies that visit NIT Raipur include some good names but not the high-end ones like Google, Facebook but the ones like Oracle, Samsung, Infosys, CTS, CIL, BPCL, Mu-Sigma, Polaris, Yodlee, Analytics Quotient, Tricon Infotech, Capgemini, Wipro, Barclays, Amazon, Pradan, Resonance, etc. Placement Percentage 90-100% Highest Package 17 Lakh Average Package 7-8 Lakh Lowest PAckage 3.5 Lakh The number and level of the companies which visit the campus is going to go up in the coming years. The institute is fast developing in every aspect, be it infrastructure or the quality of students taking admission each year. With a score of 170 in JEE Main, you have a pretty good chance of getting admission in CSE through the home state quota. You might even end up getting some other branches like EE, ECE, etc. One of my friends has passed the third year from CSE, NIT Raipur, and is interning with the UnitedHealth Group, the sixth on the Fortune 500 list of companies.

Year wise fee for tution is 65000 but because of fee reimbursement no tution fee is applied for me . And there are some scholarships like nsp , realince , lic . But scholarships are mostly gained by sc and st students compared to obc and was students. Sc and st students has less tution fee and semester fee compared to obc and general and general ews students .

Don't join NIT Raipur before reading this review

The yearly fee of the BTech cource is 1.42 lakh per year as there is two semesters in a year and 71k is the fee of on sem. All the fees are included such as caution fee lab fees etc. I am receiving the 100% tution fee waiveir scholarship as my family Income is less than 1, this scholarship is provided by the institute and for st and sc category students there is no restriction in income they are provided zero tution fees in the course for ews and obc students 2/3rd of tution fees is to be paid if your income is less than 3 lakhs and there and their is no tution fee if the income is less than 1lakh.

Being a student from the institute of national importance the institute fees of our collage is not too much high as private collages, the annual fees of our collage is 72000. Our collage also provide fee waiver to the students belongs for poor background.

The fees is 140000 annually but there are many fevers for students who are below the family income such as below 5 lakhs and below 100000 other than that people from category also get fever such as person from SD has to only pet Rs 10000 per month and SC also and person below 5 lakh income has to pay only one third of the total fees there are many others scholarship that student can fill such as Reliance foundation ONGC etc

NIT RAIPUR CHAPTER

Three slabs for educational fees is here. For more than 5 lakhs family income slab You have to pay Rs70000 per semester. For less than 5 lakhs you have to pay around Rs30000 per semester. And for less than one lakh you have to pay 9800 per year. You can avail private scholarships like i am getting Reliance Foundation Scholarships worth Rs 200000. But college have very minimal scholarships. But third party scholarship opportunities are there. You can signup for national scholarship portal and ONGC foundation scholarships for financial aid. You have to do interships during your 4 year courses in which you can opt for supporting your college fees. You can earn by teaching neighbours kids. They are so much opportunities here. College offers intership in 3rd year of programme. On campus intership and Pre placement Offers. Almost 80-90 percent of students eligible for placement get placed or gets an offer for intership or placement. Career Development Centre is improving a lot in all aspect.

The fees is 140000 yearly which is taken semester wise in there are however various fee waivers ass well such as if the family income is below 5 lakhs 2/3rd fees is waived off or if the family income is less then 1 lakhs the yearly fees is only 10,000 and if a person is from st or sc the there fees is also only 10000 per year. There are various scholarships that the students can avail such as realiance foundation scholarship, ongc scholarship and many more these scholarships are based on on merits most of the time it is merit based but the scholarship are not open for every one they are many times reserved for females or st or sc students or there is a income cap. There are no companies coming for internship there are still companies that come for placement and offer a decent package.
