Now, this is something which is the worst at NIT Raipur which vains off all the good placement stats of the college .. actually there is extreme lack of hostels at NIT Raipur ....There are only 4 hostels for boys for 1st year with a total capacity of around 400 ..i.e out of 900 boys in 1st year 500 are day scholars ..and the hostel is given as per jee mains score ...for girls in 1st year there is one hostel only ...after 1st year there is a 6 floor bog hostel for boys of 800 capacity ...i.e very less as per requirement... And after 1st year hostel allotment is on the basis of CPI and SPI ..

The hostel facility is good at NIT raipur but we don't have enough hostels for every student at here. There are limits hostels for boy's and girl's. So it's hard to get hostel here. The admission process is easy you just need to fill the form and based on your rank a you'll get the hostel. The fee for food is 17500 per semester and hostels feel is 20000 so complete fee for per year (2 semester) is 55000. The meal quality is good here. We have egg and chicken in nonveg and paneer in veg which is serve 2 day's in a week. For those who didn't get the hostel, most of the students at Nit raipur stay in Kota and DDU it is near the college and there are hostels, pg and rooms for rent.

Applying in first year for the hostel is an easy task as it alloted to you on the basis of your residency. Its tough to get hostel if you belong to Home state but if Your Mains rank holds good then you can get hostel. In the second , third and fourth year you have to score good to achieve a seat in the hostel. Hostel facilities includes - cleaning of the rooms , table , chair and bed also it includes common room to study where we have lots of books for free of cost. Hostel cost is quite low as compared to residing outside the college. Yearly it costs around 54000 including caution money. To get the hostel one can apply through their mis portal. Meal in sirpur hostel is just perfect it includes brekafasts as dosa, idli, poha , sambarwada, parathe along with milk and tea. Lunch includes seasonal vegetables , salads , raita etc. On Fridays you can have delicious dinner of Chicken and rice. Its of quite good quality. You can reside in Kota or DDU also if u are not eligible for hostel.

The hostel facilities of NIT Raipur are good. The hostel rooms are two-seater and 3-seater. Hostels - A, B, D, and F for first-year students. Hostel E and G are for first-year girls. A and B are specious. D and F are a little congested in comparison. The institute provides all the basic facilities.
Mess food is decent. Mostly north-Indian food is provided. Everyone gets used to the mess food after a while.
NIT Raipur offers separate hostel facilities for girls with a capacity of over 1200 students. Here are some key features and amenities of the hostel facility for girls at NIT Raipur:
The hostel rooms are spacious and well-ventilated, providing a comfortable and conducive environment for studying and relaxation. Each room is furnished with a bed, mattress, table, chair, and cupboard.
The safety and security of the students are of utmost importance at NIT Raipur. The hostel premises are under 24/7 surveillance, and security personnel is stationed at the entrance to ensure that only authorized persons enter the hostel.
Each hostel has its mess, which serves nutritious and hygienic food to the students. The menu is regularly monitored by the hostel authorities and a student committee, ensuring that the food is both healthy and delicious.
NIT Raipur recognizes the importance of leisure and recreation for the holistic development of students. The hostel has a common room equipped with a TV, indoor games, and reading material to provide students with a relaxing and fun-filled atmosphere.
Other amenities provided to the students include laundry services, Wi-Fi connectivity, round-the-clock water supply, and medical facilities in case of emergencies. Additionally, there is a hostel council consisting of student representatives that address the concerns and grievances of the residents.
In conclusion, the hostel facilities for girls at NIT Raipur provide a comfortable and safe living environment, equipped with modern amenities and facilities that cater to the students' academic and personal needs.
One of my friends is from this Institute, so I am quite aware of the situation. The hostel at the campus is basically available for only 30% of students and the rest of the students stay in a PG or private hostel or in nearby localities.
Hostels seats are allocated on a first come first serve basis. My friend was a little late for the admissions, so she had no choice but to stay in a private hostel. The monthly rent for the room and the mess facility is approximately 5000. The total fee for 1 year is 55,000 for a private hostel.
My friend belongs to an SC category, so even with the lower pointer, she was able to get a seat at Campus Hostel in the second year. The annual fee of the Campus Hostel is around 25,000, which should be paid in two installments (one in each semester).
Admission procedure for girls hostel:
Boys Hostel Admission procedure:
Hostel facilities should be available for all the students on campus like other IITs/most NITs. This will also provide a safe and good environment for students.
The answer is yes, as there are separate hostels for the 1st year. If you have taken admission to NIT Raipur, you have to accept the seat. You will also have to fill up a form for hostel accommodations.
Another important thing is that there are only 4 hostels with a maximum capacity of 100 students in NIT Raipur for the first-year students. Each of them includes two types of hostel with two bedding facilities or three bedding facilities in each room.
Hostel allotment is mainly done as per the student’s All India Rankings, and 25% is reserved for the state students and reserve categories. But, from the second year, based on the Cumulative Pinter Index, hostel allotment is done.
NIT Raipur has 5 boys' hostel and 3 girls hostel in all. The hostel facilities are great and every hostel has a huge dining hall with a mess, badminton court, garden, etc.
Boys Hostels
Girls Hostels
Overall, boys and girls are allotted both single and double-occupancy rooms.
All the students at NIT Raipur do not get hostels as the institute provides a limited residential facility for boys and girls. There are only 5 boys and 3 girls hostels within the campus.
This is a hostel allotment system for both Boys and Girls. Some of the students are day scholars while some do not favor staying in the hostel, but others are ready to stay in but do not get it.
Most of the items can be bought from Raipur itself. But I am listing down all the things you will require at the hostel so that you bring most of the items from your home itself. This will save you some time and multiple trips to the market-
Mattress and pillows can be bought in Raipur itself. Chances are that you will miss out on these items in a hurry, so I am mentioning them as well- T-shirts and shirts, jeans and chinos, socks, pen drive and laptop.
These are a few things that you should carry for your hostel at NIT Raipur.
There are several factors considered by NIT Raipur before allotting permanent hostels to students. The points below give a brief overview of the conditions and processes of hostel allotment in the institute.
These are some of the general concerns for students coming to NIT Raipur. Hope this helped to clear your doubts.
All students at NIT Raipur are not guaranteed hostel accommodation, as it depends on factors such as availability and the student's ranking. However, the institute does make efforts to accommodate as many students as possible.
Regarding PWD students, NIT Raipur provides special provisions for students with disabilities, including hostel accommodation with necessary accessibility features. These provisions are made in accordance with the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, and the guidelines provided by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India.
As for WiFi, each hostel in NIT Raipur is equipped with high-speed internet connectivity. The institute understands the importance of staying connected to the internet and provides this facility to all students in the hostel. The WiFi network is maintained by the institute's IT department and is available 24/7. However, there may be occasional disruptions due to maintenance or technical issues.
