- Honestly the location of college is very nice and it is surrounded by Trees
- The schedule of Classes is very relaxing in the first year.
Dislikes
- The hostel shortage is the problem , i belongs to CG and i do not got the Hostels
- The our door sports facilities are worst .
Placement Experience:
The placement in our college is good as it provide an average package of Around 9-10 LPA(Lakh Per Annuam) but it is for higher branch ,our branch student does not that much placement .
The last year 's Highest Package offered was 57 LPA .
Many companies visits our college like amazon , microsoft , tcs , Bharat pay , Phonepay .
I will do Mtech After My Btech .

- I like my seniors of my college they are really helpful and they help and guide us at every aspect of our college life . They also conduct various tournaments and other curricular activities that help us to
- Also the faculties of the college are quite good and also teach well
- Canteen of the college is quite good enough to be appreciated food is good hygiene is maintained .
Dislikes
- Mart in our college is very bad less options are available and most of the time it is closed
- Hostels are not available for every student of the college many need to live outside the college campus
- And less events happen in our college and even less sports facilities are there in the college

- I like the infrastructure of college it is so high tech, futuristic and its garden is like a heaven like the vibe of college and the clubs love the people of our college.
- Faculty of our college is so supportive even incourgae us to come out of our comfort job to do something productive for your nation. Paas us after low score also
- Sports facilities of our college is also very good , our new sports complex makes it amazing staff to help us playing new new sports, clubs like shaurya for sports
Dislikes
- I don't like the curriculum because it is so outdated and its mostly focused on theortical knowledge and not industry ready
- There is lot of shortage of hostel is our college and really don't like it because lots of our friends have to live outside of campus because of this , it too expensive to live outside
- Lots of people try to do something but there is lack of opportunities for them to do something, it's really frustrated for me
Placement Experience:
From seventh semester students are eligible for campus placement but you can do internship in many big companies and firm from 3rd year itself, there are lots of opportunities in our college for intership and job for students .
There are lots of companies come to our college like Aditya Birla group, Wipro, tcs , google, microsoft, meta , tesla and other core companies department based only for that branch student .
Approx every student get placed whomsoever i know in my senior but it's percentage is 85% because lots of them go for further higher studies to other universities or to abroad to study more . My plan is to become an software engineer after completion of my degree to earn money from the community

- The things i like in college is The way of teaching of our teachers is very good , mostly talk to us very humbly .
- The Alumni Network Of Our College is Very Powerful ,there are many seniors in our field
Dislikes
- The Written Work Burden on Every student of our college is lot . they give to much assignment and our things.
- The College Hostel Shortage is Too much , Only few of the students get college hostel every year ,you have to fight for it .
Placement Experience:
The placements of our college is pretty nice , the highest package offered in the year 2024 was 57 LPA or 58 LPA Something , Which is significant Big in india. And our Median Package Lies in 9 or 10 LPA.
Student become eligible in 3 year for placemnet , Many companies has visited us in the past like Google , Microsoft , Phonepy Etc.
The placement percentage is very nice around
80% + but in our branch Placemnet is very low it is around 30 % which is very low as the standard of NIT. Many student goes to forien for highly Studies.

- NIT RAIPUR offers strong placement(especially in Core and IT). Also it has a good alumine network.
- It has a campus of about 100 acre, a large campus with good facilities like WI-FI and dispensary, supportive faculty and seniors.
- Also involved in research with ISRO, patents, and consultancy projects with various agencies.
Dislikes
- Lack of hostel since it does not provide hostel to hometown students.
- Hostel mess food quality can be an issue but it is okay but i cant say exact about it.
Internships Opportunities:
i am student in the first , i dont know the name of the companies but yes our college provide internship opportunities for students from like 3rd semester .
our many seniors are doing internship at IITs And NITs , and many of them are doing in private sector .
,many have paid internship and many are just working for experience without taking any type of fees

- Extraordinary curriculum activities like new ccc lab , machine lab , physics lab , chemistry lab and great proff who helps in academics .
- great clubs and communities for extra curriculum acitivies , supportive seniors who helps in every problem in academics , life and any other things in life .
- infrastructure is made new recently which makes our college futuristic and industry ready for placement and internship (great placement opportunities
Dislikes
- lack of hostel in our college , which leads lots of students to live pg aur external room live expensive , not good food which causes health problem and travelling cost to colllge
- lot of academic pressure , less creativity in study plan and professor only care about syllabus completion less focus on student individual growth , everyone is in rat race
- for lower branches like boimedical engineering , biotechonolgy and civil engineering have very less placement in core , they have to go for non core placements
Internships Opportunities:
there are internship opportunities in our college .students can pursue internship in our college if they want in the vacations .
our seniors is doing internship at IITs also . sp yes it provide internsip opportunities.

- It is an Govt. College of National Level but The Teachers Are So Calm and Chill , They Are Friendly as Well For The First Semester
- The Girls Boys Ratio Is Around 1:2 maybe ,but not like as Shown in Movies or Social Media That There are No Girls In Engineering Field.
- The Sports Complex Is The Best Place For Chilling , we Can Play Chess , Carrom ,Badminton Etc.
Dislikes
- Hostel Shortage ,Despite being National Govt. College It doesn't Have Enough Hostels
- Sports Facilities ,The Outdoor Facilities are Worst , They Doesn't Provide Even a Ball And Bat to play ,there is no cricket Ground
Internships Opportunities:
As I Said Earliear I'm An Fresher So I Don't Know Too Much About Internship , But Seniors Told Us That There Are Internship Opportunities In The College , During Summer Vacation You Can join them , If You Want Experience And Money .

- Students, the people here are from all around the india. So you get to meet many people
- Transparency, I can go through my TNP website and find the data of all the company that have visited the college
- Some faculty are among world top 2% scientist.
Dislikes
- Hostel situation, many less seats available
- Small campus size, I finished exploring the college in a single day
- The club activities are not funded very much.
Internships Opportunities:
Very few companies come for internship. We apply to companies by ourselves my mailing professors or HR by ourselves. Caterpillar came for internship last year and offered 20,000 last year, took 3 student but gave PPI to only 1 student

- I liked the curriculum of this college most because of their involvement of cutting edge tools and technologies related subjects and availability of good quality lab equipment's in labs and well qualified faculties. .
- Apart from academics the placement cell of this college is too supportive and try to bring as much companies as possible including many public sectors companies and top of Multi national corporations.
- This college hold a good position in sports domain as a lot of students are doing great in the field of sports and getting top positions in Inter NITs sports like cricket, kabaddi, and football etc..
Dislikes
- The infrastructure of this college is a bit old and campus is even too small as compared to the campus of other NITs. Its campus only covers an area of around 125 acres that's quite low as comparing the average of all NITs average.
- This college is also lagging a bit in the sectors associated with research and development. Since this college has a lot of professors in top 2% scientists still fails to publish research papers.
- This college also disappoints me when it comes to provide supports to technical clubs like Motorsports, Aviation, Technocracy and robotics. So its difficult for students ti produce good results as compared to other colleges.
Internships Opportunities:
1. There are many companies like jspl, de shaw, cisco, reliance, catterpillar and so on offers internship role with stipends.
2.In order to access of these internships you have to be technically sound in your core subjects along with good projects. Apart from that you have to be quite good with your communication.

- Hostel Rooms I like very much. It is spacious. Each room is having 3 bed 3 almirah and 3 table chair pairs. Electricity is good ..
- Main campus is not that much far away from hostel.
- As nit Raipur is located at good location so environment is also good through out the year
Dislikes
- Water facility at hostel is not good . TDS is very high .
- Uncleanliness at hostel corridors. No strict rules for mess workers
- Somewhat I don't like the syllabus of the course. I am in IT branch still I have to study one subject of ECE branch
Internships Opportunities:
Internship opportunities is only good not enough. More companies should visit for large number of recruitment.

Why is NIT Raipur not having international rankings while NIT Rourkela does?

NIT Raipur has not been ranked in international rankings because it still hasn’t reached the level where ranking bodies would consider it credible enough to be ranked. They consider a number of criteria while evaluating colleges such as Employment Reputation, Ph.D. faculty, Citations per faculty, Intentional students, and Intentional students. Sadly, NIT Raipur is way behind other NITs at least on the basis of the aforementioned criteria.
Here is a short comparison between NIT Raipur and NIT Rourkela that will help you understand this better
- NIT Raipur was formerly known as GEC Raipur while NIT Rourkela was initially known as Formerly known as REC Rourkela
- NIT Raipur gained the status of NIT in 2005 while NIT Rourkela upgraded to the status of NIT in 2005
- NIT Raipur Overall ranking by NIRF is 101 out of 200 colleges in India in 2023 while that of NIT Rourkela is 37 out of 200 colleges in India in 2023 16th among nits
- NIT Raipur has a 100-acre campus while the new campus will be 300-acre. NIT Rourkela, on the other hand, has a 1200-acre campus that is the 2nd largest after IIT Kharagpur.
- NIT Raipur has a poor research culture while NIT Rourkela has an active research culture.
The above-stated points prove further why NIT Raipur hasn't been included in international rankings yet while NIT Rourkela has.
