NIT Raipur is a remarkable college!!

A whole new level of exposure was provided to us from NIT Raipur.
The outcome was amazing as Chattisgarh is a land of mining and therefore practicals were given on sites.
Hostels were so good that I hardly felt away from home.

Dislikes

Not all departments have their own building and in a single building many departments used to operate.

All the metals and mining companies be is JSW Steel, Tata Steel, or government companies like the Coal India and others were the ones that provides us placements. Our placements were amazing as we had the least students anf barring a few all are placed.

Good placement but infrastructure is disappointed

Good placement and interships opportunities
Good sports facility and supportive sports faculty
College is situated in the centre of city so easy transpiration,malls , market access and online delivery are so easy and also there is a chupathi in front of college

Dislikes

College infrastructure is so disappointing
Hostel are not for all students only toppers and reservation based students get hostel
Language barriers between the students as most of the students are from south india

Internships Opportunities:

Mostly tech companies visit in college and offer huge intership opportunities with stipend around 60 thousand per month average You have to make your profile better than other students to get intership and make some projects in team

Life At Nit Raipur

Ccc lab is mainly used for students who are getting placed.
Many professors are phd scholar and our bee professor is passed out from nit Durgapur.They all are highly educated.
Nit Raipur conduct many fests like eclectica, aavartan . Eclectica is one of the biggest fest.

Dislikes

Hostel facilities are very poor as there is only one mahanadi hostel for first year girls .Because of some girls have to opt for pg or nearby hostel .
Wifi coverage in hostel is slow down and didn't even catch in first floor which is so bad thing about hostel.
Nit Raipur is completely surrounded with trees and because of it sometimes we see snakes and frogs in that area which is not safe.

Placement Experience:

Talking about the sem for which students are eligible to be placed are somewhere around 7th sem , mostly in the last year .. but one of the pros are .. placements here are not seasonly but evergreen throughout the total year .. For btech total offers made was around 850 , for mining top companies are bhel, sail , coal India . Last year highest was 62 lpa and avg was somewhere around 10.2 for mining , and 13 lpa overall. 70-80% gets placed overall .. My plan is to qualify gate ..

Likes

The student, faculty interaction is good.
There is very good opportunities for growth there are many was to interact with alumnis and seniors.
Their are different clubs with different sports, dance,singing...etc,. By which our talents comes out.

Dislikes

The campus need to be developed withe the upcoming technology
The Hostels should be provided to all the students in the campus it self for a healthy atmosphere.
The food at the hostel mess is below average.

Internships Opportunities:

The companies like jp Morgan,amazon, flipkart,....etc., will be providing internship opportunities with stipend. The project are main important for our placement and internship opportunities, for increasing our knowledge.

Faculties are good , educated you will get a lot learn form them experience anf having knowledge about the trade.
clubs and committes ;- there are 23 clubs and committe and all have there work in differnt ways there governing body there power structure the EM the PR all are fab you will get a more to learn about the leadership companians and time manegment as
there are events at certain times ,5 days per week for classes , time to time workshops will be there

Dislikes

it seems that it does not have much more hostal seats but they are building too
old infrastructure changing but very slowly
for every thing you have top take permit and sports room starts only for 2 hrs for boys

Internships Opportunities:

As I am in the first year of college i don't have more knowledge about it, but there are students with marvelous talent they get their best internships with a stipend as well, which further helps them to get placements

I like the unity of batchmate there helping nature and emotional attachment
I really love proffeser for there support
Hostel warden sir who always motivate to do best in exams

Dislikes

Food system is not much suitable for me as I am not eat veg
Very heavy summer heat in March April sweat in my t shirts
Climate changes rapidly if rain then heat and laziness

Internships Opportunities:

Google Microsoft for software development and gaming Core like Sail which is government but many student got nice salaried job by qualifying job by giving exam so very nice internship opportunities are there

The internships needs to be done or prepared by individual as the college doesn't provide much opportunities to every single students we need to apply the internships off-campus with no college involvement. However the college tag plays a great role

A Comprehensive College Experience

i liked the environment of my college different students with different backgrounds and from different places have come
i am very impressed by the teaching methods teachers at my college also have youtube accounts where they post videos guide us and repeat the things till the time we didn't get it
the sports complex, badminton court, football ground my college has everything also their is something always going on in the college like fests which are very exciting and helps to interact more with others

Dislikes

there is no ac less number of fans and class is not that spacious
girls to boy ratio is about 20 girls and 70 boys in a class
excessive homeworks and assignments every day makes everything hectic.

my college offers a wide range of internship opportunities to students accross various disciplines summer internships winter internships summer internships are typically 8 to 12 weeks long and are offered during the summer breaks students can apply for internships un companies research organisation etc winter internships are usually 4 to 6 weeks long and are offered during the winter break research internship are designated for students who want to gain research experience company specific internship our college has tie ups with goggle reliance microsoft amazon and many more

Being a fresher i dont know a lot about internships as of now but every year a lot of people from different branches get good oppurtunities to be an intern in a preety good companies eg cisco adobe etc
