I liked the campus beauty and the staff over here who are very supportive and the teachera who are ready for yoy every time you go to them and wven the hygine is maintained quite good here
Faculty members in this department are the best atleast i think so, they interact with students in a friendly manner this allows us to freely ask our doubts and gain knowledge.
Tution fee in each year is increased by 10 percent and there are number of scholarships and fee refunds for which a student can apply for after approval of his cirtificates and various other documents.

Dislikes

Hostels - their is not sufficient hostels available for students and hostel mess is very bad. their is no student union available so it is very difficult to make some change in college.
It is not so good as expected because of lack of facilities within the college.but according to social aspects and culture it is good and our nit is lacking infrastructure and this affects campus life too.
It is a very small campus compared to the other nits, the college grounds are very small, and there are no separate buildings for the courses.

Cultural fest , sports fest, and other extra curriculum

Some of the professor was as not as good as senior professor

From 7th sem student become eligible for campus placememts, ZS Assosiates, Phonepe, JSW, JSL and the average package was around 6 LPA . For mechanical engineering branch highest package was 16 LPA (Phonepe)

Honestly the location of college is very nice and it is surrounded by Trees
The schedule of Classes is very relaxing in the first year.

Dislikes

The hostel shortage is the problem , i belongs to CG and i do not got the Hostels
The our door sports facilities are worst .

Placement Experience:

The placement in our college is good as it provide an average package of Around 9-10 LPA(Lakh Per Annuam) but it is for higher branch ,our branch student does not that much placement . The last year 's Highest Package offered was 57 LPA . Many companies visits our college like amazon , microsoft , tcs , Bharat pay , Phonepay . I will do Mtech After My Btech .

I like my seniors of my college they are really helpful and they help and guide us at every aspect of our college life . They also conduct various tournaments and other curricular activities that help us to
Also the faculties of the college are quite good and also teach well
Canteen of the college is quite good enough to be appreciated food is good hygiene is maintained .

Dislikes

Mart in our college is very bad less options are available and most of the time it is closed
Hostels are not available for every student of the college many need to live outside the college campus
And less events happen in our college and even less sports facilities are there in the college

My college is good

I like the infrastructure of college it is so high tech, futuristic and its garden is like a heaven like the vibe of college and the clubs love the people of our college.
Faculty of our college is so supportive even incourgae us to come out of our comfort job to do something productive for your nation. Paas us after low score also
Sports facilities of our college is also very good , our new sports complex makes it amazing staff to help us playing new new sports, clubs like shaurya for sports

Dislikes

I don't like the curriculum because it is so outdated and its mostly focused on theortical knowledge and not industry ready
There is lot of shortage of hostel is our college and really don't like it because lots of our friends have to live outside of campus because of this , it too expensive to live outside
Lots of people try to do something but there is lack of opportunities for them to do something, it's really frustrated for me

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester students are eligible for campus placement but you can do internship in many big companies and firm from 3rd year itself, there are lots of opportunities in our college for intership and job for students . There are lots of companies come to our college like Aditya Birla group, Wipro, tcs , google, microsoft, meta , tesla and other core companies department based only for that branch student . Approx every student get placed whomsoever i know in my senior but it's percentage is 85% because lots of them go for further higher studies to other universities or to abroad to study more . My plan is to become an software engineer after completion of my degree to earn money from the community

Life in nit Raipur

Likes

Teachers and alumini network is very good
Placement is very high for non core branches
Infrastructure and college campus is very good as I aspect

I would rate the course curriculum as highly relevant as my opinion and comprehensive it's well structured syllabus combining course concept with practical component by the team of the institute from knowing and research about this it totally influenced my decision to choose this course the curriculum as it ffectively prepares student for real world applications and by through labs projects and problem solving activity while also building a strong foundation it provides more knowledgeable and growing generation level skills development source mid sem exams is easy but the end sem. Is relatively tough the frequency and timings of exam along with our perspective on their difficulty level

My Daily Life At NIT Raipur

The things i like in college is The way of teaching of our teachers is very good , mostly talk to us very humbly .
The Alumni Network Of Our College is Very Powerful ,there are many seniors in our field

Dislikes

The Written Work Burden on Every student of our college is lot . they give to much assignment and our things.
The College Hostel Shortage is Too much , Only few of the students get college hostel every year ,you have to fight for it .

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college is pretty nice , the highest package offered in the year 2024 was 57 LPA or 58 LPA Something , Which is significant Big in india. And our Median Package Lies in 9 or 10 LPA. Student become eligible in 3 year for placemnet , Many companies has visited us in the past like Google , Microsoft , Phonepy Etc. The placement percentage is very nice around 80% + but in our branch Placemnet is very low it is around 30 % which is very low as the standard of NIT. Many student goes to forien for highly Studies. I will be doing UPSC After my exam

College Experience of NIT RAIPUR

Likes

NIT RAIPUR offers strong placement(especially in Core and IT). Also it has a good alumine network.
It has a campus of about 100 acre, a large campus with good facilities like WI-FI and dispensary, supportive faculty and seniors.
Also involved in research with ISRO, patents, and consultancy projects with various agencies.

Dislikes

Lack of hostel since it does not provide hostel to hometown students.
Hostel mess food quality can be an issue but it is okay but i cant say exact about it.

Placement Experience:

the placement of our college is good as compared to prvate college it provide average package of around 11.1 LPA .and the highest package of our college in year 2024 was around 56 LPA or 57 LPA . but the placement in lower branch like us or biomedical engineering or civil engineering ,they have very less percententage placement around 20-30 % in the class and average package of around 7 LPA , so it is not too good for lower branch . students can become placement in the 5th semester . many companies visits us many are the very big companies like microsoft , amazon , google , tcs , hp petroleum. i will prepare for GATE exam as i have my aim of studying in the IITs , iam planning for Mtech in IITs after that if i didn't got placed , i will prepare for SSC CGL exam or UPSC exam for IAS . but mainly focus on GATE CSE.

Life At NIT Raipur

Extraordinary curriculum activities like new ccc lab , machine lab , physics lab , chemistry lab and great proff who helps in academics .
great clubs and communities for extra curriculum acitivies , supportive seniors who helps in every problem in academics , life and any other things in life .
infrastructure is made new recently which makes our college futuristic and industry ready for placement and internship (great placement opportunities

lack of hostel in our college , which leads lots of students to live pg aur external room live expensive , not good food which causes health problem and travelling cost to colllge
lot of academic pressure , less creativity in study plan and professor only care about syllabus completion less focus on student individual growth , everyone is in rat race
for lower branches like boimedical engineering , biotechonolgy and civil engineering have very less placement in core , they have to go for non core placements

Placement Experience:

seventh semester is the semester from when students can eligible for campus placements . google , microsoft , nvidia , meta , tcs , tesla , wipro , lg , sony , sumsung , apple , tata steel , jindal and lots of other companies i can't name all of them here . heighest package was 80 lakh and average package was 12 lakh per annum. lots of students get placed but some of them want to do higher studies and some go for goverment job but placement percentage is approx 85% in campus . i want to do higher studies in biotechnology after compeleting my btech degree from famous universities .

My Life At NIT Raipur

Likes

It is an Govt. College of National Level but The Teachers Are So Calm and Chill , They Are Friendly as Well For The First Semester
The Girls Boys Ratio Is Around 1:2 maybe ,but not like as Shown in Movies or Social Media That There are No Girls In Engineering Field.
The Sports Complex Is The Best Place For Chilling , we Can Play Chess , Carrom ,Badminton Etc.

Dislikes

Hostel Shortage ,Despite being National Govt. College It doesn't Have Enough Hostels
Sports Facilities ,The Outdoor Facilities are Worst , They Doesn't Provide Even a Ball And Bat to play ,there is no cricket Ground

Placement Experience:

There are Good Placements of Our Colleges and Companies like Amazon , Boat , TVS , HP Petroleum Came For Shorting the students. but , i Will Talk about My Course in Biotech There's Only 4 Students Got Placed. That too In Data Analysis. Means No Placement in Biotech Field. We Have to move for Higher Studies for getting Placed. I will try to give SSC CGL as i want to become an Govt. offficer. The highest Package of The College is 59LPA(Year 2024)

My College Review- insight from NIT Raipur

Likes

Students, the people here are from all around the india. So you get to meet many people
Transparency, I can go through my TNP website and find the data of all the company that have visited the college
Some faculty are among world top 2% scientist.

Dislikes

Hostel situation, many less seats available
Small campus size, I finished exploring the college in a single day
The club activities are not funded very much.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester, the placement starts. Till now around 30-40 snrs have placed. All the good snrs I know and have already been placed. Companies like- Caterpillar, Schneider Electric, JSL, JSPL, JWL, netarwala, Amazon, Dassault System, Reliance, phonepe, Deloitte, come to our college.

As an alumnus of NIT Raipur, here are my views on this institution-

Faculty- The faculty lags behind in terms of NIT standards. It is slightly above average. This is because their teaching method is not very engaging. That being said, the teachers are helpful. They will advise you to engage in extracurriculars as well.

Student Interaction- The senior-junior interaction is good.

Despite IIT Raipur and AIIMS Raipur being in close proximity, interaction and

idea-sharing with them is negligible.

Industry Connect- It has a good industry connection for some core branches like mining, metallurgy, and civil.

Campus Life- The campus life isn’t good. But eventually, you’ll learn to cope with things and enjoy yourself. You’ll learn a lot during your degree from this campus.

Infrastructure- There is a lot of room for improvement in the infrastructure of this college.

Placement- Placement records are decent. Last year an average package of INR 10.1 LPA was recorded by the college. A total of 738 offers were made by 101 companies. Some of the companies that visit the campus for placements include- Infoedge, Siemens, Adobe, Barclays, Capgemini, FIAT, Reliance, TATA, SapientNitro, Oracle, Amazon, Samsung, JP Morgan Chase, Cognizant and Wipro.

Overall, I would say that NIT Raipur is a bit lacking in many respects. However, you’ll get a good chance to rise over here because of low competition.
