NIT Raipur - Think Before You Choose

...The seniors are quite good ...the ragging is negligible here..
The club and committee for different ECA are quite active

Dislikes

The Faculties are a bit good some HODs are well experienced..but few new PhD scholars seemed inexperienced
The infrastructure is also both good and weaker at some points ...like the sports and clubs committee infra has a loop ..even classes of full size of 115 are not capable and are divided into sections..so the infrastructure is not good

Admission:

The admission to the college was through jossa counselling..I got admitted based on my jee mains score ...being a NIT the college is good but has a lot to improve ...compared to several other nits it is not compatible to them ...the infrastructure is a big Red Flag ...else things are good here ...

Great college

The outdoor activities and events which college groups organise.
Also live projects and practicals was good.

Canteen facilities was not upto the mark.
Space is sufficient but hostel was not built for all students.

I have chosen it because it is near my home town and also the best in my state. Also, nirf's ranking is good and the best placement policy is there. they provide quality education and also because of my home State quota, I got a good department there.

For Starters (Nitrr)

Academics and Collage campus is quite good
It's location, it is in the middle of city raipur and it's heavenly, other colleges are in somewhere village it's in middle of the city and you can bring your bike

Campus size is small compared to other nits ( it's only 100 acres )
There is not enough hostel seats to accommodate all the students you have to live outside the campus

I applied for all the above nits and didn't got the seat this college I got because of my home state and the cut-off you can check it on jossa and csab websites , obviously you get this college by writing jee . And the admission process is very smooth they make sure if you got the seat you will get admission.

NIT RAIPUR AT A GLANCE

The college does not have hectic schedule,we can relax and also enjoy our free time.
The college life here is so cool.You can explore many new things in college like clubs,sports,library,campus.

The most disappointing aspect here is teaching.The professors for 1st year don't have teaching skills.So it's hard to cope up with them.

*I didn't opted for other colleges though I had cleared comedk ,mhtcet, cgpet, viteee, uni-guage and many other exams because this college is the best among them. *NIT RAIPUR is a central institute which is very promising, providing best placements.So,it was never an option for me but it was only choice for me.

"Student life and academics at NIT Raipur: A detailed review"

i liked our college fests, sports event, faculty .
i liked management of hostels. The guards are strict but rest of everything is good

i did not like our mess food because it doesn't have taste like our places
i hate our ground because it is fully crowded with people in the evening and it is not very well maintained

i wrote JEE exam and i wanted to join only ECE,CSE,IT branches so i selected the top nits,iits . Then i got this college to my preference ,because my rank is bit low my other preferences got rejected.The admission is somewhat problematic because it will take a whole day for collge admission and hostel admission if you are eligible to hostel.

Regarding the Nit Raipur

The faculty is good and the classrooms are best in these colleges
Good facilities provided to the student regarding the labs and so and soo

Hostel seats are limited all the students cant get the seat in hostel
Small campus waters facility in campus is less

Comparing this colloeg with the other colleges, other colleges cant give the tag as Britain so other colleges can not have such good interactions with the students our.professors will help in the making projects and building the resume as the best

Management is good,Greenish area,Clean campus,staff etc
Seniors are very cooperative and helps juniors.

Less volleyball courts,small ground,no track for running, etc sports related problems
Only good CGPA students get hostel in 2nd,3rd,4rth year students. Less hostel seats

My opinion on my college

opportunity of research is good. placement is decent and many will get placed and also decent good companies will be coming here to offer placements
fests are very nice in this college we also have central india largest cultural fest called as eclectika which is conducted by a cultural commitee sanskriti. it is an absolute eye feast

the main thing i disliked is hostel accomodation which is not available to every student but only some students
and now coming to campus area campus is very small compared to any other nit or iits It is so disappointing for a nit

actually as i said i didnt choose this college at start i got this college as one and only option in counselling but i tried for vit vellore but didnt get the chance to make it there but this college is also nice compared to vit in some aspects.

NIT RAIPUR

Seniors are way too awesome and super helpful
Sports facilities are good fully occupied with flood lights

Campus is quite small as compared to other colleges
The college is unable to occupy every students into its own hostel

To be very honest, I took this college as it is located in Raipur city which is very well connected. The admission process is similar to other nit's, i.e. through jee mains and then through JOSAA or CSAB counselling.

My chemical engineering experience in NIT raipur

Placement percentage of this college is really good even after having some branches such as mining biotech and biomed
Professor's are very helping and good always there to help you out with everything

Infrastructure is very old..and doesn't provide a good vibe
Lack of hostels very few students get hostel inside the campus or else you have to look for some PGs outside

I applied for various other colleges such as NIT Hamirpur NIT Jalandhar etc..i opted this college cuz the connection over here is pretty good the college is located at the centre of the city which make it quite easy for us to do any sort of work.. I got rejected from NIT Hamirpur because of my rank..but m fine with this college for now First we have to get all the documents which the college tell us to provide...after that we go inside the college and then we stand in a line and one by one every student get's their documents verified after all this we have to pay the fees
