The year wise i paid is around 40000 which includes 32000(aprrox) as the tution fess and for general category students it is around 1.3LPA. There are plenty many oppurtunities are available for the students to avail scholarships.

we have only 4 months per sem and only one midsem and one end sem

Fees and Financial Aid:

I pay 9180 for first semester and 8640 for second semester.I have fee wavier for tution fee.Generally tution fee is 125000 per year if any fee wavier is not applicable.students of EWS get fee concession of 2/3rd if tution fee if they gave income in total family income 1lakh to 5lakh.students who have income less than 1lakh don't have to pay tution fee.Students from SC and ST also don't have to pay any tution fee and it doesn't depend on their income.All students must pay other charges including caution fee, internet charges,exam fees which will be around 20000 per year.

i got seat in nit raipur information technology branch by OBC reservation so according to college rules ,tution fee is 125000. hostaland food fee is 55400.and other fee like water fee,electrical fee ,sport and gym and all cultural events are include in 11500.

I am in the nit Raipur in these college my fee is 1,42,820 total academic year fee including all of that the tution fee, caution fee, registration fees, development fees ,lab fees , and the other charges total academic year fee is 1,42,820 and I am applied for the scholarship of siemens but I didn't get any money from these scholarship and the fees of my batchmate friends are there biotech and CSE friends are there for them also same fees as compared with me my friends were applied to reliance scholarship but I am forget that I didn't applied for the Reliance scholarship.....

Fees and Financial Aid:

(This is the maximum fees, ie general, non EWS) The fees, excluding hostel, for first year, is approximately 1.4 lakh. Personally, I have no idea about the scholarship status. For first semester (year 2023-24), the fees was around 71,000 which was compensated from the fees submitted during the JOSAA counsellings. The refund was provided to the students during the month of April (2024) (the counselling ended in August(2023)). For the second semester, registration happened in January, 2024, and fees was submitted in February 2024.

One of my friends pursued Mechanical Engineering from NIT Raipur. So, I know a little bit about the institute. Some of the most promising features I found about NIT Raipur are as follows:

The faculty here is absolutely well trained, experienced and attentive to the particular needs of every student.
Here you will experience a supportive environment and independent learning culture. A wide range of multiple competitions to take part in ensuring sportsmanship development. Attendance does not impact your marks that much.
A lot of internships are offered to CS students in companies like UHG, SORROCO, WIPRO, to name a few.
Off-campus placements and opportunities are offered. I know of a handful of students who got placed in Microsoft in off-campus placements.
The claim of 100% placement is fairly correct with the average package being 3.5 LPA to 32.5 LPA on campus in companies such as Amazon, Samsung, UHG, Capgemini, Infosys, Wipro, Polaris, and more.
The average CPI at NIT Raipur is 9+, thus making the scoring pattern very student-friendly. For all those preparing for CAT, these scores will be very beneficial.
The lab facilities available at the institute are quite good.
The college also organizes coding competitions and hackathons.
It has a well-established alumni base across the country, as a student of the institute you will have access to that.

Well, as far as my senior has said, to each its own. What matters at the end of the day is what you make of it. Much like CSE, IT basically entails coding. With hard work and a little bit of luck, in four years, you might end up in such a prosperous place you wouldn’t have imagined.

My senior prefers NITs over private universities. In NIT Raipur, you will be capable of switching to CSE if you want. A CPI of 9+ would do the trick. There are endless opportunities and you will have fewer restrictions to pursue your interest.

If you are interested in studying Computer Science or Coding, then you can take admission in IIIT Surat. In the following several comparisons between these two institutes are listed.

Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT)

IIIT Surat is based on the Private and Public Partnership that is PPP. It gets funds from the Government of India, the State Government of Gujrat, and some Industry Stakeholders.
The brand name of IIIT Surat is quite similar to IIT, additionally with the national tag.

One of my acquaintances who has graduated from VNIT has asked me to choose my institute by keeping the following points in mind.

VNIT for metallurgy would be a suitable choice for you if you don’t have a particular liking. Apart from that, the metallurgy of VNIT holds an enviable position in India. The syllabus for metallurgy is vast and involves a lot of memorization.
If you want CS and unfortunately end up not getting it, the next logical step would be to choose IT. The syllabus of IT and CS are almost the same. In the big picture, it will have little importance if you complete your B.Tech from VNIT or NIT Raipur. You will have a degree and you will not regret the decision you made.

IT has a lot of scopes. Later down the road, if you want to continue with your higher studies, you will be capable of switching to almost any department pertaining to computers. IT from NIT Raipur is an excellent choice.

The scope in the metallurgy sector is limited nowadays. It is obviously your call, though. There is vast scope in IT like research, job, etc.

What should I chose between NIT Raipur(IT) and KIIT(CS)?

You should choose NIT Raipur IT. It has a better brand name and offers good infrastructure and facilities. Having the NIT tag will help you a lot for placements and internships.

According to NIT Raipur placements, students of IT get an average CTC of around INR 15 LPA. While the highest CTC offered is around INR 60 LPA.

Which is better, IT at NIT Raipur or ECE at IIITDM Kanchipuram?

One of my friends from high school used to be a student of IIITDM Kanchipuram and in his opinion, ECE at that institute has a far better system of progressing with the course than the NIT system.

IIITDM Kanchipuram also boasts of having a superior faculty. IT has also been derived from the ECE. Both hardware and software are involved in ECE. So, if you are more inclined towards Physics and Maths, go for ECE.
