Fees and Financial Aid:

Yearly I pay nearly 1.4 lakhs while some other caste students have to pay only 20 thousand for 1 year.... which is very unfair and it is government college still these is the condition . College should change the scheme and equal the value of fees for every one

As I am ST candidate for me there is a approx 6000-7000 fee per sem and as for hostel and its approx 60000 , fee in 1st year is higher but I didn't remember the exact amount and from which is good amount of fee is refunded based on the parent income .The college provides me scholarship in 1st year of 1lakhs approx in second year i got 50k

Fees and Financial Aid:

Per semester fee is 70 000 rs for gen obc. My family income is less than 5lpa so for me there is 2/3rd fee concession which mean i have to pay around 30 000 rs per semester and thia does not include hostel as college doesnt provide hostel to all its student (really poor infrastructrw)

The year-wise fees you pay for btech is 71k per semester for first two semester and then nearly 66k for the rest 6 semester but if you are from St/sc category then your tution fees is reduced to zero and the fees you paid during admission will be refunded to your account

My chemical engineering experience in NIT raipur

Fees and Financial Aid:

Few structure of NIT Raipur Doesn't vary alot. This year the fee for btech students are almost 1 lakh 40 thousand in this the tution fees cost around 1 lakh 20 thousand and rest of the charges are for Library,lab etc..along with this there are alot of state or national level scholarship which can be avail. This institution provide fee weaver for students with yearly income less than 7 and 1 lakh.for students having less than 1 lakh yearly income they don't have to payrl tution fees and just rest of the charges which tends to almost 17k and students with income less than 7 lakh pay only 30% of the tution fees

The fee structure was according to the family's annual income. There were three slabs 1- Under 1 lakh 2- Between 1-5 lakh 3- Above 5 lakh Some scholarship were provided according to caste of the students. For general there were very less opportunities for and fee concession.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The tution fee varies from student to student based on their category and income. For OBC-NCL(Non creamy layer) students fee waiver will be applied. For SC,ST students ,even though their income is more than 1 lakh fee waiver is applied. For general category students if their income is less than 1 lakh they will avail fee waiver,and for income more than 1 lakh they havbe to pay the fee(around 63k per semester). Students can apply for scholarships like Reliance scholarships,Foundation for excellence etc.Or you can visit globalscholarship.org for info regarding the available scholarships. For SC,ST students i recommend them to apply for NSP(National scholarship portal),which helps them to get out from financial issues.

The tution fee is 70,000 per semester.This tution fee will be increased year by year.The complete cost of the education including tution fees and all other fees is approximately 10 lakhs for four years.There are some scholarships which are there like NSP,FFE,etc...This scholarship will be given according to their eligibilities.There will be a financial assistance from the college if you have an income of below one lakh or five lakhs or if u are sc,st.campus placement, stipends will be awarded to u from 3rd year of your course.

The fee structure varies for different categories and is based on category,low income.The fee structure for general and OBC candidates are 140000.For the students whose family income is below 5L 2/3 Rd of the fee have to paid.for the candidates income blw 1L it is 1/3 Rd of the fee.For SC/ST category it is about 14K.Various scholarships are available such as NSP,FFE and scholarships offered by different companies.Stipends will be given to the M tech students.Education loans are also a option to the students.

NIT Raipur released its final placement report for the batch of 2019-2020. According to which, out of 48 eligible students from the Chemical Engineering branch, 38 got placement offers.

However, the placements in Chemical Engg. Department has enhanced a lot in the past few years. There are various companies that offer almost 6 LPA.

Few of the core companies which recruited chemical engineering students in recent years are as follows.

Fiat and several others.

Yes, you can go for the Chemical branch at NIT Raipur unless you get selected for a better NIT till the last round. Even if you aren’t interested in Chemical Engineering, you need not worry as NIT Raipur has a branch change policy that lets you upgrade your branch to a better one after one year. You need a good CGPA and enough vacant Seeta in the desired branch to make this possible. Many of my friends at NIT Raipur have upgraded their branches from chemical to IT, Electrical, and Civil.

Usually, the students of this branch are hired by mass recruiters. These companies offer jobs in various fields in case you don’t want to continue working in the Chemical field. Last year, the Chemical Engineering branch received 54 offers and the total number of students eligible for placements was 55.

In all, NIT Raipur is a decent choice given its high-paced development rate.

Highlights:

The department has well-equipped laboratories and classrooms.
As far as faculty is concerned, all professors and teachers are well-experienced individuals. You will also have good industrial guidance as all of them have that kind of knowledge. If you are interested in research work, this is also being carried out by quite a few of the faculty. You will have good mentorship here.
The institute is quite strict about attendance and academics.
All the required software is available for the program, in the computer lab. They also have high internet speed there (around 75 Mbps).
There is also an association of students and faculty that will help you socialize. It’s specifically for students from this department and known as the Chemical Engineering Association of NIT Raipur. They organize a number of events like seminars, departmental sports, and workshops.
The department is also a student chapter of IIChE. This means it is a part of the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers.
