IIT Patna Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

From the 6th sem campus placement starts. Microsoft, oracle, uber, and many more , minimum of 100 offers are made. The highest offer was around 80 lakhs and the average was 15 lakhs. 80% of students get placed. The startup is something I am looking up to.

I have been fortunate enough that I got the opportunity to do all my higher education from an institution like IIT Patna, after my B.Tech & then M.Tech in M.E I decided to opt for the doctoral Programme in the same branch. Obviously being an IIT the experience here has been amazing, and the recent 47th overall and 21st B.Tech position in NIRF's rankings tell very well about the quality here.The institute is also given accreditation from highly popular firms and has been given National Importance. Admissions to PhD here are done as per entrance score and Interview performance.

Ph.D program of IIT Patna gives ample opportunities to research. It is facilitated by the modern clubs, infrastructures of the institute. The research area needs master degree as eligibility criteria. Professional degree holders can also join the course. A valid NET score is important for this Ph.D admission.

B.Tech computer engineering is offered as a UG degree program with full time residential quality. Candidates can enter for the admission by appearing in JEE Main or JEE Advanced Exam. The program is offered in several specialisations. Computer science is also included in it.

I think any M.Sc student would be happy if they get the opportunity of pursuing their Master's from the IIT group due to the esteem name it has across the country. After searching about my eligibility for IITs as per entrance score, IIT Patna was the best choice for me and I was happy to get M.Sc- Physics seat here. The counselling rounds also play a very Important role in the admission procedure here.

Ph.D program at IIT Patna is offered in Engineering, Humanities and Social Science streams. Admission in Ph.D program to all category students needs the qualification of Master degree and joint master degree/graduation or professional course pass with GATE/JAM/JEE Advanced Exam. Students are granted on the basis of PI.

It wasn't decided by me that I will choose IIT Patna only, I applied for JOSAA and IIT Patna was my 3rd choice after IIT Madras and IIT Bombay. IIT Patna was among the top 26 BTech colleges in 2020 NIRF ranks and my JEE performance gave me the chance to study here. For admissions to the college, a valid score in JEE is needed while the most important factor is round of JOSAA counselling.

Placements at IIT Patna are very good, for Computer Science and Electronics branch it is nearly 100% in terms of no of students placed. the major hiring sectors are IT, manufacturing, finance, and education more details can be found out on the Training and Placement cell's website.

I got IIT Patna based on my Rank and Counselling Choice Preference List. IIT Patna Mechanical Past Placement Reports were decent for me to get convince to accept the offer. Also, The Kind of Exposure at IITs is worth trying to accept the offer from whichever IIT I would have received.

My first plan is to get a job in PSU via Gate. If this does not go well I would prefer to do Phd in IITs, IISC, IISERS etc. If that also does not go well. I will try for campus placements. The average salary offered to chemistry students in 2020-2021 is 7 lacs per annum.
