Hbtu campus Life

Likes

Examination pattern and executing process is best in my college
Placement is almost 90 to 100 percentage
Faculty is also best here and provide all information to students in proper time which is usefull for student

Dislikes

In workshop some machine does not perform well

Course Curriculum Overview:

Not any regret for my decision because couse and placement both are best . I feel in workshop area where machine does not work so students does not take too much interest in practicals In approx 5 month my college completed tha any one whole semester

"the legacy of the college HBTU"

Likes

The college life is very good out here with lots of cultural and sports activities
It contains two auditoriums in main campus where technical and cultural events are held
It has an excellent alumni network and our branch placement is 100 percent

Dislikes

The infrastructure of college is not so tempting it needs renovation
The hostel facility of college is not up to mark

Placement Experience:

The placement Statics of our college is excellent for our branch .Our branch comprises placement of approximately 100 percent which means every student get placed .Reliance being our top recruiters provide 10.5 lpa to students and the average package that a student recieves in chemical engineering branch is approximately 8 lpa

Kanpur's underrated college

Likes

College is 100 yrs old so its benifit for students in placement by connecting them with alumni of our college.
Faculty of college is very high qualified and well experienced most of the faculty are passed out from IIT.
For start-up purpose college provide special opportunity to students. Students who have a great idea, they present their ideas in ATAL INNOVATION HUB.

Dislikes

College infrastructure not much good although college are working on that scenario.

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester students become eligible for campus placement. In chemical engineering last year highest package was 12.5 lpa offering by Exxon Mobil. And average package is 8 lpa. In chemical engineering there is hundred percent placement.

Hbtu's campus and life

Likes

Good management facilities and if you have any issue you can contact to adminstration very easily they will provide solutions
All the adminstration members are very cooperative they have helped me many times
The nature and beauty of College and there are many canteen so you can easily access for food that you want

Dislikes

The area around the college is not good otherwise everything is fine

Course Curriculum Overview:

Chemical engineering that is best branch of hbtu and many companies come here for placement because of the relevancy of the curriculum But there is a little gap between the curriculum and real plant application it can be covered by including more practical topics In lab areas we need improvement because only this can prepare us for plant based jobs in chemical engineering Semester is of about 5 months and there is enough gaps between exams and paper is all about what you learn in class so medium difficult

Overall this college gives many opportunities to students and placements are good and in kanpur after IIT this is good.

Likes

Campus Life I liked very much.and very good environment.
Faculty is very good.helps in every situation
Technology branches conducting in this college.

Dislikes

Fests are not conducted by college from last two years
Campus is built in CSA premises so its recognition is not as as should be
It is established in nawabganj so local markets are not as fancy as shoul be

Placement opportunities in this branch is quite good because placement is based on alumni refferal and in this branch alumini network is very vast so chemical engineering students get selected very easily

All over college is good but it would have been better if the funds were used at the right place

Likes

College environment is good as there are quality students.
There is a competitive spirit among students.
There are two campuses. Therefore not a small college.

Dislikes

Current authorities focus more on making money for themselves than improving the college.
Last year i.e. in 2023-24 no fest was conducted though the funds came to the college.
This college gets very good quality students but they do not provide any platform for the growth.

Placement Experience:

There are no on campus internships for 3rd year student. You be able to sit in placements and internships program from final year onwards though few professors are try to make E-cell active again so that 3rd year could also apply for internships. More than 80% of students get places and last year highest package offered was 36 lpa and average package was around 8.5 lpa. I'll go for both on campus and off campus placement sessions.

My Collenge Experience !

Likes

I like communities and club which makes students to work on themselves and for college
I like the campus area with full greenery and beautiful ancients structures.
I also liked the hostel life with new friends .

Dislikes

I don't like hostel mess food sometimes.
Campus is small in comparision with others top nits and iits .
I also don't like that fest didn't happens on very grand level.

My information technology course in my college is nearly provides good curriculum theory as well as practical based which provides student's good and effective knowledge. Students get cover all the course in woth good and better understanding for their growth.

My College Experience in HBTU-K!

Likes

I like the college campus of my chemical engineering department.
I like the faculties behaviour with the students. They are very helpful.
I also liked the culture of senior and junior bonding in our college through which junior don't face any kind of problem.

Dislikes

I didn't liked my hostel food in our college. That was really unexpected to me.
I also disliked that last year no fest happened on the very grand level.
I disliked the slow working system regarding very important to anything.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our course is all over the best one as in terms or academics , internships and placements. The course curriculum also includes theory as well as practicals itself which makes students to understand more effectively and efficiently. Chemical engineering is wide which provides students more opportunity in various areas .

From the 7th semster the student are eligible for campus placem L and t Lamas Samsung india Berger paints Microsoft Exxon mobil etcc..... Highest package till date is 64lpa in 2021 Average package is atround 7 lpa 80 to 90 % To get placement

Placements of chemical engineering is quite good
Campus Life is filled with Greenery and west campus Is maximum greenery which has hostels
Infrastructure is quite old ...it could be better with time

Dislikes

Infrastructure is very old and badminton hall is very old
Lack of sports facilities in East campus
Old hostels are available here and they are less hygenic in some expects

Placement Experience:

Placements are good in some branches like chemical engineering and paint technology while some branches like computer science have less percent of placement. Others branches have also good placements opportunities.
