HBTU MCA : Fees 2026, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

The NIMCET is a national entrance exam conducted annually by a consortium of 11 NITs and HBTU for admission to various programs. HBTU, a prominent government college in Uttar Pradesh, participates with these NITs, admitting students based on their NIMCET ranks, with a reservation system and special quotas for girls and dependents of armed forces personnel. The university is known for its strong MCA placements, excellent lab facilities, and diverse faculty across multiple engineering disciplines.

However, some guest faculty are less effective, and the challenging syllabus, particularly during odd semesters, can be difficult to complete. The faculty mostly hold advanced degrees and teach with enthusiasm. The university features a robust placement cell, with a commendable annual placement rate of 70%-85%. Top companies like Amazon and IBM participate in campus recruitment, offering packages up to 44 LPA for B-Tech and 17 LPA for MCA students. Internships, with stipends between Rs. 5,000-10,000 per month, often lead to pre-placement offers. The placement process begins in the 3rd semester for MCA and 7th semester for B-Tech students, with salaries ranging from 3 LPA to 40 LPA.

The scholarship program assists students from economically weaker backgrounds, with the UP Government providing aid to those with an annual family income below 2 lakh INR. The university facilitates loans through the Central Bank of India's HBTU branch. Despite the comprehensive fee structure, concerns remain about the delivery of promised amenities and educational value. Disparities in placement opportunities between MCA and BTech students exist, although the university's reputation aids in securing scholarships and loans.
