Review about Harcourt Butler Technical University

I liked nothing tbh here as such in this college. When I entered the first year of college, there's a cultural fest named adhyaay which used to happen every year should happen , but it only took place in that year

Dislikes

There's no huge campus ,also the events do no take place like it used to happen till 2022.
I don't like the faculties of Mechanical engineering branch,they are so overcold and arrogant kinda ,fails students deliberately and in bulk. There's no other branch where students go for carryover exams in bulk or in some cases, the whole class.

Admission:

I did apply JOSSA hoping to get any NIT or IIIT any branch. I got food technology BS MS dual course at BIT mesra which didn't align accordingly as I wanted to pursue BTech only. If it had to be BTech in food technology, I would have definitely taken admission there. In HBTU, one has to give JEE mains in order to get any branch here.

Everything about HBTU

The faculty of this college is supportive to the students .
The senior junior culture of this college is best.

The infrastructure of this college is not satisfactory.
Sometimes the fests of this college can be cancelled.

The motive of choosing this college is that it is the best government college of this area and the less distance from my home .and placement of this college is best . And also I have chosen the good branch that is chemical engineering.

"the legacy of the college HBTU"

The college life is very good out here with lots of cultural and sports activities
It contains two auditoriums in main campus where technical and cultural events are held

The infrastructure of college is not so tempting it needs renovation
The hostel facility of college is not up to mark

The first advantage of this college is that it is the the government college and it has a legacy of extremely strong alumni network when a student appears for examination like JEE the main goal is to crack the top IIts and NIts but if he fails in doing so he have choose from top state government colleges out of which Hbtu is one of the best colleges

Hbtu's campus and life

Good management facilities and if you have any issue you can contact to adminstration very easily they will provide solutions
All the adminstration members are very cooperative they have helped me many times

The area around the college is not good otherwise everything is fine

I applied for only hbtu college because as per my jee main rank that is 71244 the best branch that I can get was in hbtu also I choose hbtu because it is my state college and near to my home You can get admission in college based on your jee main rank according to cut off of every year Your board percentage should be greater than 75 and you should have cleared cut offs You just simply need to register on hbtu site and pay tution fee during councelling and then prepare all the documents listed and submit in university

My Collenge Experience !

I like communities and club which makes students to work on themselves and for college
I like the campus area with full greenery and beautiful ancients structures.

I don't like hostel mess food sometimes.
Campus is small in comparision with others top nits and iits .

I have chosed this college as i belong to Kanpur only . But as a girl it will be a bigger task for me to travel to the far college from my city as it will also be like waste of more time in travelling which will effect in my health as also on my studies.

My College Experience in HBTU-K!

I like the college campus of my chemical engineering department.
I like the faculties behaviour with the students. They are very helpful.

I didn't liked my hostel food in our college. That was really unexpected to me.
I also disliked that last year no fest happened on the very grand level.

I have applied for HBTU, KANPUR as i belong to Lucknow which takes only 3 hours to reach in for any purpose . The other colleges i have applied for were very very far away from my own city which means it takes so much time in traveling and other things which also effects on our health. And also the reason i have applied for my college rightnow i am in was having the placements states which was far good than other being a government college having lower branch with high rank.

I liked personally the alumni connect of the college and also the 100 year legacy which has contributed it to its strong and varied alumni network
Senior junior relationship is also very good in this college. People are friendly and helpful towards their peers

Lack of academics and also less focus towards the core branches of the college
Higher attention towards the non core branches and also poor curriculum

Hbtu provided me with the cse branch and also such a rich alumni network which made me feel attracted towards this college . admission process was smooth in this college since it takes entry through jee exxam

I like campus of HARCOURT BUTLER TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY.
Hostel facilities are good and hostel is situated 4km from main campus.

I dont like Mess food as it is degrading day by day
Distance between hostel and campus is 4km. We have to travel a lot.

I choose Harcourt Butler technical university kanpur as it is 100+ years old engineering college and now in 2024 its iirf ranking is 10 among all government engineering college of india. Alumni network is really very great and every one get placed if eligible.

All the truth behind HBTU Kanpur

Firstly, HBTU is famous for its alumni connection beacuse of its more than 100 years of legacy, you get passout of HBTU in almost every field, it is really beneficial in referrals during placements and internships.
Secondly, its culture, the bond between senior and junior is really very important factor for the survival in HBTU, here junior show very much respect to their seniors. Seniors help their juniors in every possible way.

Infrastructure is old, so due to lack of maintenance, its losing its hestoricness and originality.
Girls to boys ration in upper branches like CS, IT, ET is 1:8 almost but in branches like chemical, paint it is of 1:1 yeah its true. I kept this in dislike because i'm in ET.

The very first and genuine thing is my JEE MAINS rank, which got me here, otherwise i can be in any top NIT or IIT. Anyways, the alumni network of this university is also one of the factor for choosing this, you can get off-campus placement quite easily in this college. Every year 3-4 students among top 10 rank of GATE exam is from HBTU. I have mentioned that you get plenty of time here so you can learn new skills very easily.
