As a first-year student, it is quite similar to what you will see in the rest of the colleges, you will have basic engineering subjects which are in every college. Here you will get one extraordinary subject, that is ICT. In ICT you will get many topics like plastic, oil, leather, etc.

The food technology is a branch of practicals and all theories are applied in day to day life. There is 100 marks paper of each subjects and it is divided as 50 marks end semester 20 marks of two mid sem and 20 marks of teachers assessment

The course curriculum is very well defined and it is designed for the industries. The B. TECH food technology is the branch of engineering, which is modernizing the indian food market. The course curriculum covers the areas of the Entrepreneurship, New Product development, sensory checking, quality checking and more. The laboratories of food department are very well made and in good working conditions.

The curriculum have subjects which covers the sensory analysis, new product development, entrepreneurship development and many more. The exams are of moderate levels and one can easily score good marks.

As food technology was very nice I heard from my family because one of my relatives have completed the same course so I was much fond the course which I have taken the course easy in terms of my perspective.

The course curriculum is very well described and designed as per the requirements of industries. The course provides in-depth knowledge about food Technology and also covers all the basics of chemical engineering as well as mechanical engineering. Food Technology is a branch of practical importance. The labs of the department are well-made. And you can do research related to any topics of interest. The faculties members are very supportive and they always guide you through the process. There are two mid-semester exams of 15 marks and end semester exam of 50 marks and 20 marks are for attendance, your behaviour in the class and assignment submissions. The exams are of moderate level, one can easily score good marks if you have taken the classes and studied well.

Course structure is pretty much good and easy to understand. It is based on New education policy. In first year we have been taught all the subjects including eng workshop to gain some practical knowledge and approach.

Food technology is a unique course and has a very good placement with an average package of 8 lakh. 50 percent of faculty are very good PhD holders from IIT and 30 percent are normal. Very difficult to pass the exam at HBTU Kanpur.
