I feel so proud to be here and the faculty are just superb and awesome.
Thd placement in my college is pretty good in my branch the average package is ruppees 2500000 per annum many of big companies like microsoft, atlasian, amazon, google, wipro etc visits here for giving good placements
Even if bit mesra is a gift but still the fee structure is slightly more than other gifts on the other hand category scholarship, state scholarships and merit cum scholarships are also there for good and bright students.

Dislikes

Hostel facility is very bad they are very rude they don't listen to anyone else.
The mess fees quality is very bad and students prefer to eat outside
Some faculty members are very educated and experienced but some of them have absolutely no knowledge they have just got the degree are just there to disturb students.

Likes

campus life with friends and various places to visit or explore
faculty and staff are all well behaved and help whenever they can
environment of study and natural beauty helps focusing on academics

Dislikes

huge campus resulting in time taking for going somewhere
college is in outskirts near village , no competetive environment
hostel residence and hostel mess are not very good

Placement Experience:

the placement here is 100% for everyone, the college itself organises events in which many tech companies comes and recruits talented students directly to work under them. avg placement goes around 10- 12 lpa. but in recent time many seniors have been offered many juicy packages like 24lpa ,45 lpa and 85lpa

BIT Mesra is Musical!!

Appreciation begins right from the facilities that we have in classes and labs.
Even our libraries and auditoriums are magnimous and one that will never let us feel that we had enough of them.
Our infrastructure is built in close to 800 acres and everywhere one will find greenery and trees in the surrounding making the atmosphere inside the campus a degree or two cooler than the outside world.

Dislikes

The area close to canteen is not clean as students throw bottles and stuffs and leave the remaining food on the tables and until the waiters and staff comes to clean it, it stays like that.

Mechanical branch in terms of number of students placed is quite high but if it is about how many students get elite packages it's less. The average for our branch at our college is 8-9 lakhs but top companies which are into our core space for long are our college partners.

BIT Mesra is Picturesque!!

We have an old fighter jet installed at our campus and it's a symbol that every student here are taught to become a fighter.
Our placements for mechanical branch are better than many as only CSE is one that gets better placed than us.
Mentorship not just from faculties but we get the same from our seniors too.

Dislikes

Internal politics is not helping the juniors to express themselves from the first year itself and one has to wait for the second year to feel inclusive.

Placement Experience:

Mechanical companies and even the machine making companies like HP, Dell and others are a part of placements of our college. A certain number of students have to be hired by them and some of them are even offered internships there so it also makes it easy for them to pick and choose student when they come for final signing.

BIT Mesra is humongous!!

The best would be that students here are allowed to keep their own private vehicles and from cycle to cars, students have their own set of vehicles.
We also have auto readily available outside our campus at any point in time.
I like all my friends here as every student here is not just from a well to do family but some of the top schools too.

Dislikes

Definitely the societies of the college as students who have chosen himself/herself as head of that society play a lot of politics.
Hostel food sometimes is pathetic and also we are not allowed to order food from outside after 10 pm.

My plans after degree is to pursue masters or right away get on with my family business as we are already into trading chemicals. However, from the number of students from our stream that apply for jobs through campus, over 80% are placed from campus. Labs to industries that deals in manufacturing of chemicals and exporting the same are the ones where students of our college get the opportunity.

BIT Mesra is Magical!!

Apart from an annual fest, we also have departmental fest and that keeps us engaged all round year.
Faculties teaching methods are quite modern as even though our faculties are old but they have kept up with the current pace.
Even our hostel wardens are quite co-operative as one complain and it gets rectified at the earliest.

Dislikes

Wi-Fi is poor in hostels and also it hardly catches in some part of the campus, I think this needs to be corrected soon.

Highest package from our campus is eye catching as it's 56 lakhs and for chemical branch it was 34 lakhs. HUL, Sun Pharma, public limited labs and various R&D research centres are those that have helped us to get best available jobs in market as the competition is high but BIT Mesra has still managed to place over 80% students last year.

BITS Mesra is Magnificent!!

BIT Mesra Ranchi has some of the most incredible things at the campus which others probably don't.
Labs have been modernized last year and even our chemical labs have that many substances and testing materials that others doesn't.
Campus is among one of the biggest and probably the largest in Jharkhand for sure.

Dislikes

Sone students have less civics sense and do litter inside the campus and still no action is taken on them.

From second semester we are taken for an hour session for special training. It is optional till 4th semester but from 5th semester onwards, it becomes mandatory and we have no choice but to go through that hammer. Finally, from the last year's 1st semester companies starts coming and we can apply for the same and that is how placements are done here.

BITS Mesra is Beautiful!!

The most scenic campuses and can even be compared to the likes of IIT Kharagpur and others.
Teaching is next level as i don't think that there can be any better than this.
So, many hostels and mess options that you are indeed spoiled that which to choose from.

Dislikes

Such a strict attendance policy that if by chance you have less than 75% attendance means you are not sitting for internals no matter what.
The fees is also on high side and that's a small drawback too.

From IPCA Labs, to many chemical engineering companies like Kanoria Chemicals and others. All these are few names as from companies dealing in labs or remedies are hiring chemical engineering students from our college and offers us well above 50k in hand every month.

my first year experience at bit mesra

the campus is really nice. in the monsoon season it becomes green and refreshing. i also liked the weather here its really good throught the year.
the senior junior relation is great. havent seen any case of ragging here and the seniors are really nice to talk to and they are often very helpful.
the infrastructure and facalities are pretty good for academics.

Dislikes

the hostels and the mess food are not so much likeable. in the first year, you will get hostel 1 to 4. they are located right in front of the main building. the rooms are very small and you will have to share it with another person.
they offer very little in sports. there are grounds available to play but unlike iits and nits they offer very little support. if you are a cricket fan you will be really disaapointed to see the state of the cricket ground. the football ground great.
the official procees is worse than government procees. you will really find it hard to get something done here, if you need any document or something, then you better have some real patience.

Placement Experience:

the best part about this college are its placements. the average package is around 12lpa and for cse it is 20lpa and for ece it is 17lpa. then it falls down to 12lpa for eee and mnc. the rest of the branches have average package in range of 7 to 11 lpa qwith civil having the lowest and mechanical having the highest with 11lpa. the highest package this year was 60 lpa. almost 70 to 80 percent of the students get placed.

BIT Mesra Review in a nutshell

I liked about the campus being good enough Big with facilities more which can cater for required for activity.
Campus Life is good on a scale of 5 it's a 3 if you are open to participate in each every activity then there is more than what required.
Clubs for each Sector is present which helps in stress relieving for many and also many events are organized by them.

Dislikes

The Campus being large but lacks the basic lighting in some area being very dark at night.
The Administration of College is not competent enough as they are not able to take right decisions which are required for the overall development of College in the modern time.
One reason which I don't like is the declining rank acceptance of the College through JEE MAINS due to which low quality students also are seen taking admission in comparatively Good branches.

Placement Experience:

After completion of 6th sem students are eligible for placements. All major tech giants you name it like Google, Microsoft,Walmart,Atlassian,Flipkart,Visa,Texas Instruments,Arcesium,Salesforce..... etc do visit the campus for the placement and around there are around 250+ companies visiting. Highest offered was around 51 lakhs and average for CSE is around 21Lakhs. Percentage of students placed is close to 90%.

My review of BIT Mesra

Likes

The Large campus size leaves the student wih much to explore
5 day work week allows the students to explore their talents.
The regular Dj nights and events offer a source of entertainment

Dislikes

Hostel rooms are way too small for 2 students
The overall fee for the college is quite large
The college is far from the main Ranchi city.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had an interest in chemistry for a long time then I got to know about chemical engineering which is just about scaling up the reactions to meet the industry requirements which fascinated me. A couple of my cousins did their chemical engineering from this institute and are doing good in the field. Hence I chose this field of engineering.
