- We have an old fighter jet installed at our campus and it's a symbol that every student here are taught to become a fighter.
- Our placements for mechanical branch are better than many as only CSE is one that gets better placed than us.
- Mentorship not just from faculties but we get the same from our seniors too.
Dislikes
- Internal politics is not helping the juniors to express themselves from the first year itself and one has to wait for the second year to feel inclusive.
Course Curriculum Overview
Mechanical and Automation are two things that an engineer is meant to do. Coding for somebody else's IP I don't think brings any value and looks to me a slavery. A mechanical engycan built engines and systems which are first hand and hence I chose this as I want to use my engineering skills to build something for the first time on this planet.
Placement Experience
Mechanical companies and even the machine making companies like HP, Dell and others are a part of placements of our college. A certain number of students have to be hired by them and some of them are even offered internships there so it also makes it easy for them to pick and choose student when they come for final signing.
Fees and Financial Aid
Since I am from general category the top brass fees which is 4.8 lakhs a year, is i and other students of the same category has paid. Otherwise as per the category like SC/ST, OBC, PWD, EWS, and others the range of scholarship also differs. However, apart from EWS, the hostel and mess fees is same for everyone.
Campus Life
Our campus is a light house as we have the right to decorate even our hostel rooms. Classrooms are air-conditioned and our labs have all the machineries and clothing gears too. So, learning experience that we get here during practicals is so great that one can't question the academic facilities here. Other extra curricular activities facilities too are such that students don't have to go out to have an unwinding session as everything is available inside the campus.
Hostel Facilities
Rooms have everything from bed to attach washrooms as first year it was common. From second year, it's a two seater room and our room only has washrooms. Several mess tk choose from but since I come from a Brahmin family, I have enrolled myself at the vegetarian mess.
Admission
I choose many top private institutions but as soon as I got the admission here in the final round I cancelled those and decides to come and study here as this college is next level thing. Admission process is through merit as even though students are high but rankings in JEE are the full and final criteria to get admission here.
Faculty
Faculties at BIT Mesra have an exclusive teaching experience of country's top ranked colleges like BITS Pilani and IITs so their experience in teaching is unmatched. Some of them are also a corporate slave or have rather served as one so both these makes our education and learning complete. Rijak Sir is my favourite since I am allowed to name just one.
Night Life
From malls to theatres we have every thing in a 2-3 kms range from our campus. Lake is there so we get a Lakeview and top quality cafes like Yum Yum, Cakes and Cakes are also there as whenever we are bored of mess food, we go there and satisfy our cravings.
