BIT Mesra is humongous!!

My dad has a small lab and also my familybis into chemical trading business. So, I have heard about them since childhood and I am more inclined in doing it as i know I have to later join them only. I think my curriculum will make my ahead of everyone in the family when it comes to know the usecase of chemicas that we trade in otherwise.

My plans after degree is to pursue masters or right away get on with my family business as we are already into trading chemicals. However, from the number of students from our stream that apply for jobs through campus, over 80% are placed from campus. Labs to industries that deals in manufacturing of chemicals and exporting the same are the ones where students of our college get the opportunity.

BIT Mesra is not at all cheap and is perhaps one of the most expensive colleges in Jharkhand. However, if one asks whether it was a value pick or not then my answer is yes. The fees is 4.8 lakhs a year and obviously it's different than the hostel fees that we pay. Scholarships are there but since it's a private college one can't expect much scholarships for the same.

I will start with sports as 4-6 badminton courts to that many basketball courts. 2 big sports ground and an indoor sports area where one can hear the noise and see the players sweating it out. Fir students who wants to learn calmness they can practice yoga in yoga rooms. Greenery at the campus is next level and for food we have multiple cafeterias and some kiosks too.

I am in my first year and the first year hostel has a policy of sharing it with three students. We don't even have private washrooms but there are washrooms on each floor and they are enough that we don't have to fight for our chances.

Entrance scores is the first criteria and the best part is there is a state quota of 50% but 50% is for outsiders and hence there are students from all over the country. The Mains ranking of 5000 is the cut-off for outsiders and 10-12000 for students with state domicile.

Exams here are difficult but our faculties makes them look simple as we are taught so fantastically by them that I see no problem in how they teach. Infact to ensure that we have the best of experience when it comes to teaching they makes class heads and those students mind you get some extra numbers in internals too.

Ranchi is not for daylife but evening life here is next chapter definition. Such a beautiful campus that we can walk, run, and hide in the campus itself. On days when we feel like going out then yes, Sada Adda a restaurant at a walking distance from our campus is where we friends go, chill and have the time of our lives.
