My experience at St. Xavier's

I chose this college over other colleges due to its high reputation, especially regarding the B.Com course. The college also has a very prestigious range of alumni and good placement opportunities. It consistently ranks among the top colleges in our country, most recently gaining the 6th position on the NIRF scale. The college also has a well-reputed faculty and a record of good teaching. The college admission process was fairly simple. It was an online process - and included filling up a detailed admission form along with online submission of necessary documents. After that came the payment of the application fee. The selection lists containing the names of selected students came out a few weeks later, with a link for the payment of the admission fee for the first semester. Admission process went pretty smoothly. I did not apply for any other colleges per say although i did prepare for many other competitive examinations. I scored a decent rank in comedk which could have fetched me a good college in Bangalore but i chose St. Xavier's college to stay in my own city....Read More

I had applied to christ college, bangalore and mount carmel college, bangalore before applying to this college. I got a confirmed admission into the mount carmel college and i did not give my exams for the christ college as i had already decided on going to st.xaviers as the dates for such exam approached. I chose this college because i had to pursue a professional course along side which st.xaviers caters more to as the curriculum and timings fir examinations are decided accordingly for it . To get admission in my college the admission procedure is; - filling the online application form available on the college website if the form is open at the time - upload the required documents - and then pay the refundable application fee online - an printout of application form and the fee payment reciept is to be kept - the selection process involves a merit- based assessment for the B.COM degree and may involve an entrance test and interview in case of other courses....Read More
