Positive : Low-cost, Environment, Sports and extracurricular culture, Espektro-the annual tech and cultural management fest, Alumnus Negative : Internship opportunity is less, Location, Study curriculum.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is a little bit old structure and needs to be developed within 5 years as it will make the course more relevant and will help the students. There are a total of 2 exams per year. And total 8 exams in your course.

Placement Experience

The college does not provide any internship. The placement oppurtunity totally depends on you, if you are capable enough to crack a job then you will get that. The average package of the placements are 3.5 lakhs per annum.

College Events

Independence Day, College Fest, Hall day, Republic Day, Teachers Day, Saraswati Puja, Mahalaya. These are the events where all the students can enjoy with whole heart. College fest Espektro is the best thing of this College.

The fee structure of this college is very much feasible for all students. That is the best thing to study in this college. EE/ME---3,000 CSE/ECE---6,000 IT---12,000 Per semester . This is the fee structure.

There are lots of free scholarships available in this college. As it is a government college you can avail full/half freeship if you are in below poverty line and also every government and private scholarships are available here. You can apply easily.

Campus Life

There are lots of opporunity here for the students to be busy in extracurricular. You can play football, cricket here or you can dance in Dance club, Can show your musical passion in Music Club, Can express your thoughts in literary society.

Hostel Facilities

The best life one can live is the hostel life. So the hostel infrastructure is good enough to stay. There are total of 4 boys and 1 girls hostel in the campus. You can have gym, fooding, TV, laundry service, playing equipments if you stay in hostel.

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

The alumnus of this college always wants to help the students with their guidance. They can help you for placement situations. They can help you for your medical problems. And every year two alumni meets are organised by the college.

Admission

You have to secure a good rank within 3000 in West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination to get admission in this college. Then you have undergone with a counselling process consists of three phases to get admission.

The faculties are very much helpful. They always tries to teach students with great care and always tries to clear the doubts. Just if they can be a bit more punctual then there will no problem for students.

Likes

One of the things i liked the most was the quality of lecture given by the professors
The campus is very spacious the college has every facility
A fully equipted studio and lab for Journalism students

Dislikes

Things i disliked was the most has to be the locality the college is really nice but the locality is a bit shady

I always wanted to take up Journalism as a career and the thing which caught my attention in this college is that they have a fully equipted studio room and other colleges may have one but the students even publish there own news report here it prepars us very well for the real world

Supportive Faculty - The professors are highly qualified, approachable and always willing to help students
Free wifi support - There are free wifi support for both student and faculty
Fee Structure - It is very affordable and low compared to other colleges in the region

Dislikes

Placement support is below average, and most studnets have to apply for off campus jobs independently, which is really pathetic in the era of ai where getting a job as a fresher is so difficult
There is no dedicated support or placment cell initiative to help studnets land meaningful summer internships or any kind of internships

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements starting from the 7th semester. For placement drives, we have to visit the main campus, Techno Main Salt Lake (TMSL). Since students from other Techno India campuses and branches also participate, the competition is extremely high. In the 2025–2026 academic year, fewer companies visited. Only two companies, Dronahost and WishCare, visited our specific campus directly. The remaining drives—mostly service-based companies like TCS and EY, along with a few startups—were conducted at the main campus. The remaining drives mostly service based companies like TCS, EY etc and quite a few startups has visited to main campus. The package they offered mostly in between 3.5lpa - 6 lpa. Furthermore the selection process of those startups is quite rigorous often consisting of upto 5 rounds of interview, two technical rounds with two technical interviews, and HR round My plans after getting the degree is either pursue an MBA or preparing for govt jobs

The everyday journey

Likes

I liked the campus . Their people and faculties are too great , they are also helpfull
The other thing i liked here is the play ground where students play with full of their energy and many game events are organised ocationally
The other thing i liked is the library where everyone use to study silently with poking others

Dislikes

Bad benches , like benches are too small to be fitted in our class I
In our department ac doesn’t work properly

Nothing specific just the campus attracted me Curriculum is preparing me for the real world approach and its doing good enough the academic pursuits is good Teachers should teach in a good way so that every student should understand Frequently the timing of exam is 3 hrs but sometimes it takes 1 hrs

Faculties are helpful and kind and the classroom environment is healthy
Classroom, labs and libraries have proper infrastructure
Certificates are provided for participating in conferences or extracurricular activities

Placement is provided in final year . Average package offered is 3 to 4 lpa . Paid internship is provided in 3rd year and the placement percentage is more or less ok. After complication i will either pursue Msc or look for a job.

Likes

The campus is big and full of greenery with the vibrant feel of nature.
The students of the same batch are friendly and helpful.
The teacher's are friendly and helpful. They do provide helpful recommendations for the betterment of your future.

Dislikes

The seniors are overly harsh when it comes to 1st year.
The infrastructure could be worked on. The college lacks renovation.
The hostel does require everyday cleaning and renovation as well as the campus.

Placement Experience:

I don't know much about this but I guess from the sixth semester the students are eligible for campus placements. This year a student from AEIE got a package of 11.2 lacs per annum and the average is around 4 lacs per annum.

Likes

The faculties are very good and very active. They are always ready to help
Campus is very beautiful and nice. Campus may be a little bit smaller but it is beautiful.
Environment is very good. And have a natural's beauty

Dislikes

Location is a thing which may difficult to find out.
Number of faculties are small quantity due to the college is newly established
Because of the college is new so therefore not huge like any NIT or IIT

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements. There many service based companies visited like TCS ,Cognizant, wipro, Infosys. Almost 60-70% student placed in on campus. Highest package offered by TCS 9-10lpa and Cognizant 6-7lpa wipro 6-7lpa infosys 10lpa etc. 60-70% student getting placement I will go for placement

Placement Experience:

The University Provides Placements options for the students from the 3rd Semester onwards. For the Department of Geography Companies like - GeoDesign and Research PVT. Limited, Wipro, Acadecraft Pvt limited, Cactus etc. are there as recruiters with an average package of 3 LPA. University takes a target to 100 % placement among then almost 60% are placed and rest of the students mainly go to the research field.

Placement Experience:

Since the syllabus is quite up to date, students learn a lot and are way ahead of their age group students. Most of the students qualify for placements with attractive packages. The university also encourages internships that carry credits in their academic report.
