Course Curriculum Overview

3

Actually there are lot of subjects are they offering, but they are tightly packed and most of students are not ok with that .A semeseter contain 4 theory paper ,2 labs ,1 miniproject. But last sem is so free ,only 2 electives and 1 projecy only there.

Internships Opportunities

3

I have not attended any internship.Planning to atend this summer any internships outside .I am doing project in non hermitian metasurface ,its a novel field so publishing paper soon is my aim. And iam trying to attend any conference.

Placement Experience

2

From first year itself all are eligible .But placement opportunities are more for btech students .msc students are also selected ,but in physics not much. My plan is to do research. Some of friends from chemistry got 27 lakh placement ,but b tech students are getting more.

Fees and Financial Aid

In winter semester the course fee is around 11k and summer semester its around 16 k Additionally we have to pay room rent 9 k per sem Along with tution fee. Then hostel establishment fees 13 k and mess fee 20 k per sem.Hostel fees are very high.

Campus Life

3

Social growth is very good here, because class mates are even from jammukashmir .We can ineract with different culture, different language etc.Iam not involved in any club or sports activities more concentrated on studies.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel facilities are actually good .But money is very hight .Meal qualities are too good comparing to other hostel messes .Iam in mega boys hostel in a double occupied room. Its actually good but not worth that much money we paid.

Admission

NIT opens lot of doors for our future .Even though it is difficult to pass ,its worth it.I havent applied to any other colleges.I have qualified IIT JAM ,thats why i got selection .But my first options were IIT s. But my rank was not enough to get it.

Faculty

3

Faculties are enough. Their perfomance depends ,Some arw very good in teaching ,but some classes are not good. Dr.Natesan Yogesh sir is a very good faculty who teaches well and understand students.without sticking on exams he give us extra activities and learnings.Exams are problems based ,but valuation is relative.

Night Life

4

More time spending in hostel,my project lab .Campus library is very good .The main food courts and stores are now closed and curfew is started .So 11.30 is the closing time .But still there are milma canteens and all .There are lot of hangout placed in campus like traingle garden and all

I choosed to study msc applied psychology in kerala university. Because it offers my interested specialization ( organizational behaviour) . The course provides three specializations - clinical , industrial and educational. As it is applied psychology it equipes us to become more practical.I wish the placement cell to be more efficient in our university. Because the placements they offers are limited

This course have more oppurtunities in the present time as the data is increasing day by day and we are dealing with data. So we have more oppurtinities than any others. We have a special post in every fields. Course is doing only theory build up and less in concentrating the practical application side of the theory we have studied.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Obviously this physics course is tough but the influence of the teachers and other staff made us too motivated and the systematic exam schedule helped us to complete our portion before the exams and there is some more time for the revision purpose.. There teaching method are so useful and they treat us so politely and in friendly nature. So its too easy to clear doubt and feel comfortable to ask them and clear anything.. Its so helpful for us to complete our exam nicely...

Remarks:

JEE Rank was the main factor. The facilities like hostel, labs, etc mentioned in the IIT Palakkad website. During the allotment process, one senior girl student of my branch contacted me and cleared all my doubts whether it was small or big, placement details, etc. After the rankings were released, based on the previous years cut-off ranks, I was able to get a fair idea about the colleges I would be able to join among all the IITs, NITs, IIITs. Based on JEE Mains rankings, NIT or IIITs can be chosen. Based on JEE Advance ranking, IIT can be chosen. Also, 2 mock allotment will take place which gives a fair idea of which allotment we will get. These mock allotment will be based on our preferences. We can change them after the mock. Then the actual allotment will start. Once we finalise our preferences and lock them, there will be 7 rounds of allocation. 3 options will be given in each round-Float, Freeze,Slide (details will be clearly mentioned in the website). Once you are allocated a seat in any round, document verification will take place (seat acceptance fee must be paid at this stage).
