The curriculum is very relevant and upto date. The curriculum always get renewed as per the need. They give exposure to real world by engaging in project amd lab activity. The difficulty of exam is moderate to difficult as per the course.

Thapar does have good placements record even in recession compared to other colleges. Companies like Amazon, Google, Apple, Gmaerskraft, Arcesium, Salesforce do visit the campus. Thapar even have a good network due to it's alumni.

At end of third year , summer intern opportunities start coming. Then from forth year opportunity for internship and placement start coming. The average package is of 10 LPA. There are many profile are offered but mostly computer related.

The tution fees was around 2 lacs per semester . I am not sure about the registration fees but you can check that on the official website. There are many scholarship opportunity are available there , some are merit based aslo.

Thapar has best college life. I really learned and enjoyed a lot. There is technical feast , sports event , hackathons, etc. you can very easily pursue your hobby. There are many society and clubs with regular events.

Some hostels are very good. They give a balance diet in food menu. It is affordable to live in hostel considering the facilities provided like house keeping , laundry, etc.There are neaby many PG available within 1-2 km range.

The cutoffs depend on the number of applicants. I have chosen this college due to it's NIRF ranking and it's reputation in the market. You will need boeards exam marks and jee marks for admission. There is a punjab quota.

The exam grading is relative . Thapar take 2 exams one mid semester and other end semester and before both the exams we have regular evaluations in the form of lab evaluation, quiz or project. The faculty are always upto date with the knowledge.

Patiala is a safe city and has many things to explore. The college itself has many food outlets of brand like Dominos, Natural , Moti mahal,etc. After a class we used to go jaggi or G block. Gym of some hostels are very good.
