Course Curriculum Overview

3

1st year curriculum is too waste i would say. I'm here for Computer and programming knowledge why would i study subjects like Manufacturing Process, Energy & Environment and Proffesonal Communication. These are just waste of time subjects.

Internships Opportunities

4

Internship opportunities are also great in this college, you can expect decent companies after 3rd year of college the thing is you have to maintaion good cgpa plus you have to build your skills to crack internship

Placement Experience

4

Placments are really good i would around 12-14L one can expect after 4 years. Thapar porvideds a lot of opportuinites for students, the thing is you have to grab each opportunity and how you utilise them

Fees and Financial Aid

TIET offers a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Fees would be around 3,00,000 per semester Hostel Charges would be around 55-60k per semester and mess charges would be around 25k per semester.

Campus Life

4

Club Involvelment and Socities are pretty good in Thapar. i myself am a part of current 10 societies in my first years and some of them are pretty good. Thapar Movie Club is one of my best in all these.

Hostel Facilities

5

I would i say the hostel i'm living currenlty would be wrong saying it;s a Hotel actually. Attached washroom with attached balcony. AC and geyser with aesthetic vibes in the room. and i'm lucky to be in the best hostel of Thapar i.e M hostel

Admission

Because it is near to my hometown plus as i was not getting any NIT or IIT so the best college i could get is Thapar only rest low grade colleges i don't want to go like Chitkara, LPU, UPES like these colleges

Faculty

3

TIET maintains a faculty to student ratio of around 1:15. Faculty members i would say is good but they cut too much marks and so strict checking cuz they purposely fail child to give auxi paper and each auxi is 2000 per subject.

Night Life

2

Nightlife is not too much you can expect from this college as it has restiction of intime at 8:30pm for both boys and girls and if you don't reach you hostel at time they will call your parents and give them warning

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are good , for textile technology average package is low . and placements depends largely on individual skills cgpa , and interest in core textile field. Overall , placement support exists but students should not rely completely on campus placements.

The curriculum is related to other colleges but not with company standards. In electronics all topics are related to gate but only 10 percent. Even these subjects are helpful for placements too. Teaching methods are regular.

Efficient, commited and focused is what our university's placements cell is towards placements. More than the admin department is commited for admission our placements cell is committed for placements. So when you have such facilities and helping hands, placements are just a matter of time. Highest package of CSE has been of 92 lakhs from LPU so far.
