The mechanical engineering course is one of the most prestigeous courses from thapar university, they have quite great faculty and projects going on. The society fateh is livinbg proof for that. There are certain signature branch, they provide a wide varity of learning combinations. the course and curriculum can be less bookish and reducing written work are the improvement i'd suggest

Thapar University is great mix of learning and fun, filled with supporting and motivating faculty as well as seniors. You will learn more than just bookish knowledge, it will difinetly contribute positively to your overall developement as a human being. It has various socities, numerous events, it has something for everyone.

The annual fest of the college is Saturnalia, it usually lasts for 15 days, with major events happening on 3 days, other than that they organise other fun games and activities. The library is gigantic, provided with all the neccessary books, other than that they do and vivid collection of books for social, personal developement, history, geography, philosophy etc. The classrooms have all the modern developements.

They had a good mechanical engineering course, i was very adament about choosing ME, they were one of the top pvt colleges that provide a good, structured and practical course especially ME, they have great workshops, 3D printing lab, etc

The faculty student ration is quite great, idk exactly but its more than sufficient. Most of the faculty are friendly and approchable, the TAs are quite helpful, I personally liked Ashish Purohit sir and Rajnish Mallick, both of them are very proffesional,well spoken and supportive. Most of the teachers are non discriminating, there is a certain gap in freedom and the approch between girls and boys hostels, boys hostel are more linient and have friendly and caring approch. The exams there are moderately difficult

The in time is 8:30 PM, the campus has various spot to eat and hangout, chains like barista, dominos etc are inside the campus, they have sudexo food mess, after 8:30, you can access your night canteen, and food delivery is allowed till 11 PM
