Small campus interms of area even though facilities are good.

Course Curriculum Overview

Electronics and communication is a feild which allows you to reach and know more into real world technologies. Not only hardware but software skills are also required. To excel apart from college lectures you will need to grind more knowledge all by yourself.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 22310 per year

Internships Opportunities

Students who are talented may get internsip offers from very first year but this isnot provided by the college . Rather most of them get placed from third year by on campus placements. We will be having projects within our syllabus but it will be great if you do extra projects which help in your placement.

Placement Experience

Mec is best known for placement. From seventh semster placment starts . Placemnet cell and training cell will train us with lots of mock test and interviews before actual placements. Percentage of students getting placed are high.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure is different for those who got admission by state quota , managemnt and nri For states its around 30,000 for management its around 70 ,000 and for nri seats 100000. We will have different scholarship is we meet the necesaary terms like pm scholarship etc are provided .

Campus Life

Mec has a lot of clubs which awake different feild and aspects of students . Differnt cells are also there. Even though campus life is very short due to small area but overall you will have a good experince . Excel one of the largest techno cultrual event is hosted by mec. Sport, art, college day etc are other events .

Admission

During my admission procedure i mainly focused on three colleges CET, Nss and MEC. According to my rank i was unable to get into cet then i had two option so while looking for better option i choose mec because mec provides better placement and more exposure.

Faculty

Faculty of mec are really tallented and skilled in different spetrum . They provide assistance in projects and research. Talking about the course structure its really fun and adventurous proper scheduling and time managemnts is required to excel. To conquer good score in exams make sure to complete all topics covered in the syllabus.

Night Life

There is no night life inside campus . College will close around 6 . But you may enjoy night life if your staying in hostel or pg but some may offer time restrictions . Apart from this during other events college will be open till the approved time .

College Feels Like Home

Placement Experience:

The placement department in our college is great and is always trying to bring good companies to the college. The placement training starts from semester 7. Our top recruiter include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, NocoBD, Delloite, etc. and our mechanical, civil, EEE,ECE all got placements with avg of 4lpa.The highest package where 12 Lpa for SAP. My plans is to get a good job and lead a stable life.

Placement Experience:

Students in 7th and 8th semester are eligible to sit for campus placements. Companies like Oracle, Goldman Sachs, L&T, Bajaj, Caterpillar and PSU's like BEL,HPCL and BPCL come to the college usually the coding companies offer aroung 35-40 LPA CTC and the core PSU companies offer around 17-18 LPA. Highest Package is 51 LPA and an Average Package of 12 LPA. Nearly 85% students from Circuit and CS branch get placed and around 60% in core branches who sit for placements, My plans after getting the degree is to join MBA to learn how business world works and how the money flows

My honest review of ICET

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for attending campus placement from semester 7. Some companies that visits ICET are Utc global, Layland, DeltaX, etc. The average package given by the companies are 3 lpa. The percentage of students getting placed are around 40%. I plan to placed at any company.

I applied to cet, tkm, gec for branches eee and ec My first option was cet for which i couldn't get admission due to my rank. Cet requires rank below 1000. And my second option was mec (my college). MEC Thrikkakkara: Strong Academics and Placements, but Room for Infrastructure Growth

My cousin studied here few years back and is now working a top tech company.I applied for Cs in MSRIT and AMRITA,but the fee structure over there is too high(around 3-4 lakh per year).Here overall fee amount is equivalent the yearly fee.To get admission in MEC,a person needs to write keam exam .Three phases of allotment are held in here.At the beginning of all allotment,we could change our preferences.For CSE BATCH,CUTOFF RANK FOR merit is around 2k and Management around 3.5k .For CSBS it's around 3k for Merit and 7-8k for management....Read More

Good for social life but very minimal infrastructure and facilities

The reason I chose this college over other options were due to the prime location in which it is present and due to the city it is present in . MEC is renowned for the placement opportunities available in this college and is placed in the top 3 colleges in Kerala in terms of placemenets . The admission is based on the student's KEAM rank and this rank decides whether you get the Merit seat or management seat . For others you also have an NRI seat .
