Course Curriculum Overview

4

I'll get to see the world, visit different countries, and experience new cultures. I can start at a low rank and work your way up to chief officer, chief engineer, or even captain. My work with people from different nationalities, which can improve your adaptability and professionalism. there is a frequent time of the examination when the semester overs the last month of the semester would be the exam month . And the level of difficulty is quite different some exams are easy and some are tough .

Internships Opportunities

4

So many internship opportunities we are getting in the campus in each year. The internship we are getting are such as the port visits in Mangalore and Chennai port where a dummy ship is parked for the students and the instructors of the port allow us to go in the ships main engine and other parts of the ship. Apart from the ports we got an opportunity to go on INS Shivaji camp where all the surviving skills were taught to us and it was a great fun with all my batchmates. In campus are pass out has founded his own company name rocket fuel x where I got a chance of internship in the company of our reputed pass out. the stipend I was getting in that company was around 3000 per month.

Placement Experience

5

In my college the college administration give the assurance to give all the cadets assured placement. So many companies visits the campus for recruitment and take in mass recruitment from the college campus. The percentage of students got placed is very much familiar and high in the campus. As most of them from one batch got placed till their 4th year and before completion of btech degree , therefore the placement ratio is known to be very good at college campus. My planes after completing of the degree is to sail to mostly 5 years

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees is approximately 225000. And I have paid around 10000 in the caution fees and the registration fees is included in the yearly fees structure. And after that we have to pay the lab fees also during the semester examination, the fees structure is same for all the students studing in the campus there is no issues of category wise fees selection. Some many scholarship opportunities are there in college like INS shivaji and BHU banaras campus and other ports like manglore port and etc .

Campus Life

5

There are so many festivals celebrated in the campus with all the year cadets . Apart from festivals the Indian maritime University conducts Asia's largest marine fest which is known to be as tempest . It is very well known to be the largest Marine fest because of the vast and spreaded organisation all over the world. The tempest is sponsored by the very well known demica global society. So much of participants are getting involved in the first as the opportunity to show their talent to the world.

Hostel Facilities

5

The college administration has provided us a particular hostel for each year and for different different complexes where each year can stay with their batchments only. The food quality in the beginning was not so good but after sometime we adapted the taste and now the quality is going good and we are happy to eat in the mess where the nutrients are provided what we were expecting. We have hostels in our campus only apart from that the locality if I rented a room or PG is good and the environment we are getting here is very calm to study to focus to meditate and to do the stuff which we are liking to do.

Admission

The Indian Maritime University (IMU) is a central university that was established in 2008 to develop a trained workforce for the maritime industry. Here are some comparisons of IMU to other universities. My college is one of the prestigious and reputed college in all over the country. That's why I have choosen this college because of their placement ratio and a good environment

Faculty

4

I like to think of my classroom as an organic, dynamic environment where nurturing, interaction, bonding and growth are encouraged. Faculties members are truly engaging with us and they are clarifying all the doubt which we are getting whole the studies . Thats the good thing of the faculties members. But most of them are very good teacher and having a great time of experience. Exams are quite easy to clear and most in the batch clears the exam in there first try only .

Night Life

5

The night life of college is very cool and enjoyable with all the batchmates who are like a family where there is a well known place in the college which is known as Imu cafeteria which is sponsored by IRCTC in the campus. The famous hangout places in the campus are our college ground where we rome while talking to each other and the college auditorium and assembly hall are one of the best places to hangout with batchments. Apart from my home town family there is another family which is my college family with my batchmate I have enjoyed the best time of my life till now.

Apart from these small startups and companies visited too. Highest package offered was 11lpa by TCS , 9.6lpa by infosys, 6.48lpa by Cognizant. Profiles were ASE in TCS , PAT in CTS , SET in Infosys. The percentage of students placed was less arount 30-40% , mostly because the curriculum lacks placement prep. I have joined Cognizant as a Programmer Analyst Trainee after graduating .
