Course Curriculum Overview

4

the course curriculum is always well-designed for the branch. year wise the complex subjects related to the branch is given to the students. Complexity and new subjects were introduced to us every semester. Along the branch subjects, they add one from other courses that are not related to computer science to help students have basic knowledge from other streams including finance, digital marketing, people management, and interview preparation. public speaking, aptitude training and other personality development classes.

Placement Experience

3

From the seventh semester, students who have more than 6.5 CGPA and no backlogs are eligible for the placement. companies like Accenture, Tech Mahindra, Capgemini, UST, and EY hire in maximum numbers. There will be more the 50 companies which hire 2-6 students. highest is 9LPA and the average is 4LPA. Most of them hire for software engineer roles. 70-80 % of students get placements. I also got placements and after graduation, I will start working for the company.

Fees and Financial Aid

I joined Presidency University through KCET counseling. So yearly I pay 105297 Rs to college including all the tuition fees, lab fees, etc. Students who join through the comedK pay around 19000 Rs. Other management students pay from 150000 Rs to 250000 Rs based on their branches. Core Computer Science branch students will pay 250000 to College and it reduces based on their branch selection.

Campus Life

4

For every two years, Presidency University Conducts the fest called INVINCIA. They will conduct it for two days and it starts from morning 10 am to evening 9 pm. Many well-known artists will come and perform there. For this event many intercollege competitions and events will be conducted, Other than this fest, many events like Kannada Rajyotsava, Tech events, Club events, Ethnic days, and many more events the college will conduct. The library will open from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm and students can every books and journals any time in both physical and online form. The classroom has a projector, whiteboards, green boards, touchscreen boards, and well ventilation. fans, lights, and CCTV. Collage has more than 50 clubs including sports, arts, dance, drama, programming, and gaming which is active throughout the year. Interested students can join as many clubs as they want.

Admission

I joined through the kCET counseling process. Through this, I have applied to around 20 colleges and based on my KCET ranking I was allotted Presidency University. Some colleges required high ranking and my ranking didn't satisfy their criteria. As I joined to college through KCET process, admission was simple and it took 3 hours for me to finish the admission process when all the selected students had been given 3 days to finish the process. KCET eligibility ranking always changes based of different criterias including caste and income, number of seats etc. 50% students join this college through KCET exams and 5-10% students from COMEDK and remaining students join from Management quota.

Faculty

3

Each faculty has different teaching styles. Many faculties have average knowledge about the course that they are teaching and they try to cover only the syllabus they are given to finish but most teachers are student friends and try to help the students if they want to learn more in their field. There are some highly skilled teacher who prefers to provide a good in-depth level of knowledge about their subject and always open to help students to build interest. Every year there will 2 semesters. Each semester has 2 exams midterm and endterm. Midterm marks carry 50 marks, assignments carry 50 marks and endterm exams carry 100 marks. total of 200 and they convert it into 100. Lab-oriented subjects will have lab exams where practical carries 60 marks and 40 for theory. Subjects are relavent to their branch.
