Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is well-structured and relevant, but some topics feel outdated. More practical exposure and interactive teaching are needed. Exams are fair, but technical subjects can be tough. 8/10.

Internships Opportunities

3

Internships start in the 6th semester with companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and Dell, offering roles in development, analytics, and marketing. Stipends vary (?5K-?20K). Projects focus on real-world problem-solving and research applications.

Placement Experience

3

Placements start in the 6th semester. Companies like Accenture, TCS, and Microsoft visit. The highest package is 29 LPA, the average is ~4-6 LPA. 90% get placed. Planning for higher studies after graduation.

Fees and Financial Aid

My College Fee Structure Review (KCET Quota) For my course, the KCET fees are ?97,000 per year, and the college fees are ?20,000 per year. Fee Breakdown: Tuition Fees: Included in KCET fees Caution Deposit: (If applicable, refundable) Registration & Admission Fees: Covered in the initial payment Development Fees: Part of the college fees Lab Fees & Other Charges: Included in the total fee For students under different categories like Management, SC, ST, or OBC, the fees might vary. Scholarships & Financial Aid: There are merit-based and need-based scholarships available, such as: Merit-cum-Need Scholarships Government & Private Scholarships for Reserved Categories

Campus Life

4

Campus life is vibrant with great ambiance.Library is well-stocked, classrooms have smart tech. Sports & clubs (coding, music, dance) make it engaging. Great overall experience! Many clubs are there u can join

Admission

I chose Presidency University for its infrastructure, faculty, and placements. Applied to other colleges but didn't get my top choice due to cutoffs. Admission was via entrance exams and merit-based selection.

Faculty

4

Faculty and Teaching Quality: The faculty at Presidency University is well-qualified, with a student-to-faculty ratio of around 18:1, ensuring good interaction. Most professors are approachable and supportive, though some rely too much on theoretical lectures. A few stand out for their engaging teaching methods, while others could make classes more interactive. Course Structure and Exams: Each semester has two major exams: Mid-term and End-term, along with internal assessments and practical evaluations. Mid-term Exams: Held mid-semester, relatively easier if you stay consistent. End-term Exams: More comprehensive and slightly tougher but manageable with regular study. Passing Criteria: Minimum 30% in both exams and 40% aggregate to pass. Exam difficulty varies; technical subjects can be challenging, but overall, they are fair.

Night Life

3

Nightlife is limited as hostels close by 8 PM; the library, gym, and cafés shut by 8-9 PM. Hangouts include CCD, Hatti Kaapi, cafes,Elements Mall. The area is fairly safe but not very lively at night.

Placement is good, every student who tries to get placement will surely be placed in campus placements, but off campus would be difficult as this cllg is a tier-3 cllg, so many companies reject in resume shortlisting. Maximum every CSE student will get placed but max of them would get placed at an offer of 3.5 or 4.5lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say academic wise. There is nothing much happening right now in first year, but then there are many events like hackathons happening where and we can participate and learn a lot even our first year and we have English film and Japanese film, which is basically a whole language club and there are a lot of activities happening such as debate and all, which is obviously helping us gain a lot of public speaking skills and confidence.
