Course Curriculum Overview

4

Electronics and communication engineering is an evergreen branch because it has a lot of career options for people who are in a dilemma of the software or hardware this is the best option because you have an option here to learn both software and hardware together. Also there is less recession compared to the IT branches like computer science or artificial intelligence people with really good knowledge or skills excel in this career and have a very bright future as some the future is dependent on semiconductor industry here we learn a lot of fundamental concepts and basics starting from a resistor to how we design a chip using VLSI design and you also learn embedded systems which help us to apply in real world applications like the screen on your car where you touch and control all the features and your car , it might be a smart fan which uses embedded systems to communicate and follow the instructions that you provide. India is soon going to be startup hub for semiconductor industry and ECE has a very good scope and bright future. We also have a skill lab in which professionals from the hardware industry train us on different skills which we require in our upcoming semesters. We have so far learnt Aurdino interfacing and many small projects like smart irrigation system etc. Period tutoring sessions keep happening in which students who understand better or have understood the concept better help there peers and they also get remunerated for about rupees 150 per hour so this is right you can help your friends and also earn your pocket money this is a great way.

Internships Opportunities

4

There are many internship opportunities as our colleges signed and MOU with many companies like insure technology is ltts thought works and many more for core engineering branches there is in house incubation centre those want to create their own startup there is an idea lab where you can proto type your ideas there is also a company inside our college called Vivarthan technologies which gives internship to core engineering students in their domain like VLSI or Embedded systems.

Placement Experience

4

Regarding placements , students are eligible from third sem for IT branches and 6th sem for non IT branches based on how they develop their skills. There is also a memorandum of understanding or m o u with different companies by our college which encourages internships but basically we have to skill up ourselves which the IT branch students can easily do . Core branch students are eligible from 6th semester as their skills are not developed because there the subjects are more and the concept building wouldn't have happened till 6th sem. Hence we are eligible from 6th semester. This time the placements are really good core branches have got the highest placements in triple e that is electrical and electronics engineering out of 90 students 86 students have been placed which is setting a record in the college placement history for IT branches though the packages not as much as 40 LPA, a package would range from 3 to 15 lpa by companies like thought works Infosys LTTS etc. I have my future plan is to get placed in a good company work there for few years to gain professional experience and do my masters.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fee is 130000 . The college also provides scholarship to meritorious and economically weaker students. Apart from this students can also apply to government aided scholarship like NSP by central government scheme and SSP by state government. VVCE provides scholarship of 40k and other scholarships provide an amount of 12k to 20k.

Campus Life

4

There are many student clubs which are run by our college we have aspara entrepreneurship cell which supports young and budding minds to pitch their ideas ,they conduct various events like E week in which they invite successful entrepreneurs to share their journey, they also conduct events regarding the stock market, flip the pitch etc to develop our entrepreneurship skills . They also visited IIT Bombay for the Enigma event which recently happened and secured 2nd place. They have participate in various events and have bagged prizes. Also for athlete and sports enthusiasts we have sportination which conducts many tournaments like tennis, badminton for both boys and girls they also represented our college at the state level. They is also toast masters international club which boost your communication skills as they conduct events like table topic speaking, pick and speak evaluation contest and many more. By as per they was an event in which students of our college showcased their startups they were startups like knitting , crochet and home bakes . We have our college fest called Vidyuth which is conducted every year in the month of May or June they invite many talented performers to perform for 3 events that is sandalwood night , bollywood night and d j night . We enjoy a lot during this time. There is ethnic day before the vidyuth which is so vibrant because whole college is filled with colourful outfits and also we celebrate Kannada rajyotsava and our college during the month of November very grandly there is flash mob and there is parade with the instruments and it is vibrant to see all of these. There is well established library which has all kind of books and even you have tables chairs round tables for discussions group study and you have separate individual tables for self study also so during exam it is my go to place. There is also club called literature club which conducts events related to literature.

Admission

I had applied to g triple s previously but I didn't wanted to go there because I didn't think my personality development would happen there due to absence of co-education I always wanted a co-education because the bond we create in group projects involving boys and girls is very different we share opinions, ideas and we get to know many ideas which we wouldn't have thought before. I wanted to build my personality as I am an introvert so when I joined this college I have improved a lot I have started speaking more we do a lot of group projects and we graded at the end of a semester. We have a great learning environmental at VVCE. Here the admission is very good going now all the seats have been filled as there is a majority for IT branches as people Buzz around it very much these days we have three sections in ECE and 5 to 6 sections in CSE and three sections in artificial intelligence and machine learning. For it branches it is about strengthening there core skills like data structures oops with Java programming etc For core branches we have subjects like analogue circuits digital electronics and network analysis to build our basics. To admit into this college there are multiple ways the one through which I entered was the kcet examination which is conducted by kea Karnataka examination authority you have to write the kcet exam and after which you will be allotted a rank different colleges have different cut off and you can check out the cutoff in the ke a website you just have to get a rank according to the cut off chart based on which college you want . You can also write the comed k examination and get a rank according to the colleges cutoff chart the other option is through management seats which is if you don't get a good rank in the other two options you have to admit through this one.

Faculty

4

Faculties in our college are friendly and supportive. They clear all our doubts even after the class hours which is really good . Also for slow learners they conduct extra classes to strengthen their basics and help them in their exams. Our teachers also conduct regular module tests before internals to prepare us for internals and they also conduct preparatory exam before our semester and examinations . They also provide question bank which contains all the important questions that are that would probably appear in the exam so this would help us in learning all the concepts important for exam and score well in the exam. So basically there conduct 3 internal assessment first internal assessment is for 15 marks which contains only first module and the other two internals are for 30 marks each which contains two two modules and for final exam we have all the five modules for 100 marks. Faculties are friendly and their nature is dependent on how students react . For learners or the students who have an urge to learn or succeed can get a very good scope in the college.

Night Life

4

There are many cafe in around our college we have aaina cafe , KFC, there are many restaurants cafes especially for students of our college. We also have in campus CCD that is cafe coffee Day which has a lot of snacks like rolls. There are many bakeries for baked stuff. It is also like a centre point for all the restaurants and the cafes nearby so there are many people ordering and get it within few minutes. Hostel life is a bit silent here as 8 p.m. is the deadline for the hostelers. They have good quality food provided and regular laundry service. The location is like a centre and there is a lot of moment of people hence it is safe for people to room even at night. In fact the libraries are open till 8:00 p.m. you can spend a quality time there upskilling yourself.
