I like my college but read this before joining. Everything in a nutshell.

Likes

My faculty and ease of my course as it is less hectic compared to other branches.
Quality of infrastructure is decent could have had more space inside the campus.
Students should initiate more hackathons and competitions to keep the college life interesting.

Dislikes

My campus and the sports and the crowd as the crowd is too polarizing.
How less events happened during our engineering.

Academic structure and curriculum in the campus

The course curriculum is too outdated by vtu and it changes once in 4years and still remains the same. You need to update yourself outside the college and grab opportunities outside. Very few real world applications are thought. You need to learn them by taking extra courses outside. We have internals every month(3 internals) and assignments to be written at last which is hectic.

What are the internship opportunities in the campus?

We got an internship from vtu in a company called rooman technologies where all the vtu students had to complete their internship here. We had to do projects based on aiml and submit reports in 3 phases. It was really exciting and fun to do. You have to look for internships outside by yourself college wont give you internships apart from the one from vtu.

Various companies recruiting from the campus and average package being offered

Students are eligible for campus placements after 6th sem. First you will be trained for a month by the placement department for interview processes and aptitude then youll be made to sit for the placements. Companies like cognizant, accenture, kodnest, cyraacs and many more attended this year with average package of 3.5lpa offered. All the students will get placed either in tech companies or sent to training institutes. I am planing on my masters degree in data science in the usa.

Total fees of the course and scholarship

I opted for management quota in 2021 and i was supposed to pay 3Lakhs per year for four years. The fees of the management quota depends on you. You shall have to pay additional 1.5K exam fees. My other classmates who joined through management paid less (few) and paid more(few) than me. SSP scholarship provided by karnataka government is good.

Various events, sports and library of the college

There are very few technical fests thats gonna happen. Most of them are fashion shows, dance shows and sports events. The library has all the books you might need for your course referrings. The classrooms are well lit and are equipped with smart boards. We have a basketball court where we play all the games like box cricket, football, throwball and poison(join to get to know).

Faculty and learning experience in the campus

The one best thing about doing computer science in my college is the facult. They are the best and they treat us like their own and help us in all ways. They just want us to be punctual, regular and smart enough to score good marks.

What is the admission process of the college?

I didnt apply to any other college as i had a very low ranking in kcet so joined here through management quota as it was near my house. You have to carry your 10th, 12th and kcet or comedk marks card along with aadhar card and passport size photographs. The cutoffs for my batch was 17k in kcet for cs.

Night Life

The nightlife for students in hostels is only inside their hostel. It is safe for the students at night nothing to worry about. Most of them around the college are just students and is residential area. We have all the food brand outlets around the campus. We have a OG spot called hessargatta. If you are in this college youll surely have an experience of that. For girls they need to be inside hostel before 7.30pm.

College is very disciplined in terms of students behaviour or the outfits they wear and also should be punctual

Admission:

I believe that our college will be on a good base for providing placements with good companies. They also have new networking cisco lab for building our skills and they also have a Japanese club where they give training for students with Japanese language and recruit them to Japanese companies. There are many other things and clubs coming up on our college and we believe that there will be a good placement of a for the students. Admission process can be through kcet comet k or through management quota.

Actually my parents want me to pursue my btech from banglore. I went presidency university there tution fees of ai ml department is much high. This university is providing in 250000 because in that year, the college is converted into autonomous university.

Its a very good college with almost all the required facilities.

Likes

Last the infrastructure is too good, the campus is also very good with cleanliness, safety, they have provided us library, cafeteria everything.So everything is very useful for our personal development.

Dislikes

They can still improve there quality of choosing activites for the students in updated level.
As the construction is going on, we r little uncomfortable with the surrounding.

Admission:

I chose this college over other colleges because this was a new university which started last year that is in 2024. I felt that i might get many advatages out of it because they r starting everything new.. New methods of teaching... Processes..so i thought it would help me a lot by providing more facilities to improve my skills to get placed. I didn't try any other college because this was the first college in my mind and i went to this itself. The admission process is not that complicated... If students r willing to join through kcet they'll get reduced with the fee, if they r willing to join through management they have pay the whole fee. There is no exams for admissions.

No actually I entered this college through kcet so my ranking was 43k so I had applied to many other top colleges but I got this college in the end and yea I actually wanted pes but my ranking was less so i didn't get it.

When I compared the management fees of different colleges then compared to all other colleges this college fees is just 2.5 lakh whereas in other colleges it is more than 3.5 lakh and in other colleges they charge extra fees for Donation but here there is no extra fees except education fees

Sapathagiri NPS University, Bengaluru, Karnataka, is a private institution established in 2001. The college is affiliated with VTU. SNPSU has the accreditation of AICTE. SNPSU is also accredited with an A+ by NAAC. Sapthagiri NPS University's overall ranking by Outlook is 29 in India in 2024.

SNPSU offers various UG and PG courses in engineering and medical & healthcare streams. The flagship course includes B.E. with 8 specializations. The eligibility criteria for admission to B.E. Courses are to pass 10+2 with PCM and KCET/COMEDK UGET/JEE examination. The total fees (2025-26) are INR 10 Lakhs. SNPSU also offers programs like BCA, MCA, MBA, and M. Tech. Sapthagiri NPS University offers 7 undergraduate B.E programs in subjects of Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, Information Science, Mechanical, Biotechnology and Civil Engineering.

Candidates who want to take admission in the B.Tech programs must appear for JEE Main, KCET or COMEDK UGET.
Those seeking admission in the B.Tech programs must have passed their 10+2 (or equivalent examination) with PCM and a minimum of 45% marks (40% in the case of candidates belonging to reserved categories).
