Course Curriculum Overview

4

For a student development in his/her journey in their desired course, the overall curriculum have to be clear and properly structured. In VVCE, the course curriculum for ECE is well made with lot of prerequisite knowledge. They are very well balanced between both theory and practical knowledge. The faculties teaches with all the available technical features inside the class and put their efforts in conveying the concept properly.

Internships Opportunities

5

Many internship opportunities and facilities are provided inside the campus or outside the campus with the help of placement department of our college. Companies like HP , Bosch, Cognizant and some others came and hired many students for internship as well as job opportunities in their company. The college also provide some skill development program through linking with other companies which are new or old.

Placement Experience

4

I think from the third year itself students are eligible for applying for campus placements inside the campus or outside also they can try if they want to. There is pretty decent placement in our college. Cognizant, HP, Mahindra Tech, Infosys, Bosch and some other prominent companies came this year until 2024' s end. The highest package was 33 lakh per annum for my department only (ECE) and average is 4 to 5 lakhs per annum in our college. It may vary from year to year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Hi I am Vikasraj and I am currently pursuing my BE degree in Vidyavardaka College of Engineering, Mysore. I just finished my 7 semester 3 days back here. VVCE is just very good college in Mysore especially for engineering and the campus is not much large like other colleges but it is well enough to be there with lot of good environment for students and teachers. I joined this institution in the year 2021 with minimum expectations with this college but later i realised it's my good choice even in management quota. My fees for this quota is 2,40,680 without any donation in the year 2021. Coming to tution fee it's 2,01,960 for me and 38,720 is college fee. This fee structure varies according to different categories and for government CET fee may be around 95,000 to 98,000 at that time. The training and placement department plays major role in our shaping carrier. They also provide some quality internship facilities inside the campus and other prerequisite knowledge and quality that one student should have in him/ her. There will no extra fees for any other things, all are included in fee structure as mentioned above and labs, libraries, support staff everything is well maintained and friendly respectively. The institution also provides scholarship and necessary financial aid for really needy students based on their financial situation and also provide support if the students want to develop any project, attend conferences, hackathons and they are guided by well knowledged teachers. If I want to say some cons ,that would be mainly about play grounds and some sports support from institution. The campus is not much bigger as i said earlier so some things are like congested.

Campus Life

4

Infrastructure is very good in VVCE and also the labs are very well maintained. The college festival we celebrate every year is called as 'VIDYUTH'. It's just awesome to attend and be part of the institution. Sports facility also there along with good gym facility for both boys and girls. Gym is actually well maintained and the trainer is also friendly. Coming to classrooms, they are big and has very nice ventilation windows. Technically also they are well maintained and equipped with projector, cameras , ppt presentation screen and some other things. The college also have some clubs and groups which play major role in developing out co- curricular activities. The students can join any desired club and be a member and actively participate with the events.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel is very good and cleanly maintained. Each student has a separate space to keep their belongings and separate study table inside the room. 3 to 4 sharing rooms are there. The food is also good and hygiene. Food is provided 3 times a day along with some snacks at evening everyday. Also there are many pg or rooms available around our college. Compared to other colleges, our college hostel is way better in all aspects which also includes WiFi facility and 2 time non veg meals per week. 80000 is the total hostel fees.

Admission

Actually I accidentally got admitted to this college. I was not aware of VVCE at first. First I and my father went NIE north campus and their the seats were filled so then we came here for management quota as i CET result was not up to the mark. The admission procedure is not that much difficult here in VVCE. Starting from application filling to fee payment, everything goes with ease. At that time , there was no donation for my course ( ECE) so I opted it and didn't want to go IT courses. They ask for some xerox documents and some original documents as well at the time of admission. Totally the experience was very clean and good.

Faculty

4

If I talk about the faculties of my department, they are very friendly in nature. They are very well skilled in their respective domain and teaches us effortlessly. In ECE, we have approximately 30 to 40 teachers and 5 to 6 lab technicians who are very educated for what they do. Coming to exam part , we have 1 final exam for 1 semester along with 3 internals. Those 3 internals includes 5 modules which are splitted like 2 module and 2 module for 2 internals ( 4 module, each module for 15 marks ) and remaining one module for 15 marks totalling 75. Later it is converted to 50 with some assessment marks and ABA marks. The sem exam is for 100 later converted to 50.( Note- This is applicable for my batch and course only). The exams are moderate very much easy to pass. Not much students fail in my course. In my course, I really liked the way of teaching of Anees Sir, Amith sir, Kavya Mam, Praveen sir, Sudeesh sir.

Interview Experience

4

Actually I didn't applied for placements because I want to do further study and do Mtech in my course of interest. My friends said that group discussion rounds are very important and help to build our character whole expressing our thoughts on some topics and also how to oppose the opinion positively.

Night Life

4

My favourite hangout spot in CCD inside the campus and also at sometime the basketball court. VVCE also have gym facility for both boys and girls. The library is also there which is free now hidden fee for any books just a library pass is required. The locality is very safe to roam around at night. No much vehicle sound or any other irrigations. There is separate hostel facility for boys and girls. Especially boys hostel is very hygiene and very well structured. It also have study room facility and cameras are there all around the building. The hostel closing time is around 7 at evening for both boys and girls. The college opens at 8 30 and closes at 4 usually.
