- Good infrastructure and campus Environment the college has a spacious and clean campus with modern infrastructure.classrooms are well-equipped,and there are separate labs for different branches
- Supportive faculty most of the faculty members are knowledgeable and approachable.They are willing to guide students not only in academics but also in projects internship and career decisions
Dislikes
- Less Placement opportunities the placement opportunities should be improved more so that the student from every department can be placed and settle in good position only career guidance is not important good placement important
- Limited freedom and campus restrictions like dress code and strict rules regarding movement inside the campus sometime this make students to feel less independence
Course Curriculum Overview
I would rate the course curriculum at MVJ college of engineering as 7 out of 10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness. It is well structured under VTU guidelines and provides a solid foundation in both theoretical and practical aspects of engineering. Areas of improvement curriculum updates, Teaching methods, industry collaboration.
Internships Opportunities
MVJ college of engineering provides a wide range of internship opportunities through its training and placement cell and developmental initiatives.The college encourages students to take up internships from the third year in some branches even second year students are guided to participate in short term industrial training programs Students are encouraged to complete mini projects and final year projects during their internships to gain real world exposure
Placement Experience
MVJ college of engineering has a good Placement record, for branches like CS and ECE The Placement activities are handled by Placement Cell, which begins preparing students from 6th semister through aptitude session, communication skills etc They maintain good score like 60% and above academic percentage the students are eligible for placement drive from 6th semister onwards At my time at college some 10 companies visited the campus Highest package from my batch is 5L per Annum Most placement are in roles like developer and Networking side for core branches they get opportunities in design, testing and maintenance roles Overall MVJ provides good placement opportunities
Fees and Financial Aid
1. Tution fees - 58000, Registration and admission fees - 45000 I joined the college through CET ranking so103000 fees if management then it would be around 2-3L fees, 2. My batchmate who joined management he paid 200000 3)if the student is SC/ST caste he can apply for SSP scholarship, The student from management side and got good cgpa the fees will be same if he get less cgpa then the fees increases.
Campus Life
My experience at MVJ college of engineering has been memorable and enriching.campus offers a balanced environment that focuses not only academics but also on social engagement and personality development. The college hosts two major annual events - the cultural fest "Swayam", usually held in March, and the technical fest "VertechX",organized in September.Swayam features music,dance,and cultural performance.while VertechX includes hackathons, coding challenges, project expos this events bring students together and encourage teamwork, creativity,and leadership. The library student study environment is quiet, organized,and student - friendly, making it ideal for learning and group study Classrooms are well furnished with board labs are updated with hardware and software tools, ensuring pratical exposure for students in different branches. Apart from sports there are some extracurricular activities such as debates, cultural clubs Overall the campus life at MVJCE is good and offering opportunities for academic and personal growth.
Admission
When I was selecting an engineering college I applied to several reputed institutions in Karnataka including Dayananda Sagar College of engineering Acharya institute of technology CMR institute of technology but I couldn't make it due to slightly higher cutoff in CET. I finally choose MVJ college of engineering because of its location infrastructure academic environment and placement opportunities. Situated in Whitefield it's close to several IT companies which is better and increases internship and placement prospects. The campus is spacious clean and well equipped with modern labs and facilities the college also has good reputation under VTU for maintaining academic decipline and quality teaching. Overall it offers balanced mixed of academic quality, Placement support, faculty support etc so making it a suitable place to pursue engineering.
Faculty
MVJ college of engineering has a balanced faculty to student ratio generally around 1:20 meaning one faculty member for every 20 20 students this ratio allows students to get enough personal attention during classes and lab sessions. Prof Sree lakshmi (ISE Department) is known for her excellent teaching style and patient in explaining complex concepts in simple terms. Course structure and fees college follows the VTU curriculum which is updated periodically to include modern topics each semester has 3 internal assessment and 1 final semester exam conducted by VTU. Internal exams include theory,lab work and assessments
Night Life
The nightlife around MVJ college of engineering in Whitefield, Bangalore,is lively yet safe while the college itself maintains strict discipline and fixed timings the surrounding area offers plenty of places for students to relax and unwind after classes. The college campus closes by 7pm and students are not allowed to stay back unless there are official events or extra lab sessions.The hostel in time is around 8pm for girls and 9pm for boys ensuring safety and discipline security staff and wardens monitor entry and exit. Hangouts spots outside campus being in Whitefield MVJCE is close to many cool places like Forum Shantiniketan Mall, Phoenix Market city Whitefield is considered safe at night with regular patrols and well lit streets students generally travel in groups or use cabs for longer distances.
