The cource curriculum is up to date and doenst isolate us from the upcoming industry. the cource curriculum is well selected and revised over time to keep it on par with the imerging industries. It prepared us well for the real worl applicatio. The ELC projects given to us every semester prepares us to work together and be professional, just like out there in the real world. The frequency of exams is one month gap between mid sems and end sems, the sessionals and lab evals happens right before the MSTS or ESTS

Respective department heads are responsible to provide for an intership oppourtinity to students, rest its upto the students to clear the screening rounds to be selected, many core companies are contacted and many to arive at campus, but they are selective in picking up the students.

Campus placements are there but more often a cg cut is applied to shortlist students, the CS students have plenty to choose from but other branches like Biotechnology often struggle to find a core company at the campus placement cell. Average package is somewhere around 8 lakhs inr. Most of the students go for off campus placements if they are unable to score in the campus placements cell.

The fees in total i had calculated at the start was coming to be around 25,00,000rs. The tuition fees increases 10% every year, the fees is same for everyone unless you have some merit-means scholarship or merit based scholarship

Overall college experience is above average, no college is perfect,neither is thapar. It has its Ups and Downs like the Fests and college events here are below average but academically if well beyond the average mark. The placements and internship/ the capstone can be improved but so far its average. The facilites provided are top notch, the gym, courts, swimming pool are well maintained and well equipped. The security at campus is strict and hence well protected.

I choose Thapar institute over other colleges because of the well established alumini network and the college connection with foreign colleges really helps us after graduation, rest the name of this institute is reputed all around and it beind deemed to be lets the college selects it own curriculum which i prefered.

Faculty here at Thapar are among the top in their feild , the professors and and Teaching asists are a major help and provides us with a very detailed path way in our respective career. They are very straigh forward and fulfilling.

Night life inside or around the campus is absouletly zero, the nights outside in the patiala town is an adventure on its own with safety being negligent. There are hostel timings here of 8:30 pm after which you need a special permit to roam around in campus, The crowd here is dead at night and looking at the safety aspect, its better to be indoors than being out in the night.
