Course Curriculum Overview

4

I like things related to fire and safety in general, i took pcm for the 11 12 board exam and was familiar with safety and fire from 8th standard so BTECH SFE in CUSAT SOE seemed like a no brainer. Curriculum is frequently being updated every 5 years. Faculties are average in general. But should say there are exceptions

Internships Opportunities

4

Yes I have opted for an internship recently .I worked at the Cochin port . But it is unpaid. Under the program we are given some fire fighting training and we have work on it with the provided mentors.

Placement Experience

4

The campus itself is giving the placements for almost 85%of the students it will be completely spend upon the students skills and performance during the college days . Many famous companies are directly approaching the college. For my branch Safety and fire very few companies approach but placement is sure if you are average.

Fees and Financial Aid

I filled the form of common admission test for 6000 in the year 2022 and then after giving CAT I paid pta fees of 1500 and additional fees of 2000 . For each semester I have to pay 62000 and extra 1500 for exam fee . No scholarship and other financial aid is offered by the college.

Campus Life

3

The campus life is bit boring as we don't have any extra curriculum clubs except few sports. There is some big fest which are conducted yearly but after the accident that happened last year in which 4 people got killed all the fest are cancelled The libraries here are very well maintained . There is a lot of book variety. There is also a yearly sports event.

Hostel Facilities

1

The infrastructure of hostel is good but the food is very bad. The menu is completely south Indian which is very troubling for the other state students. There should be some separate mess for North Indian students . Firstly you have to apply for hostel . You will only get hostels from the second year as per the rules.

Admission

The college is very famous college we have to clear the cusat common admission test examination to get admission in this college and needed a good rank in the cat examination the college is very famous for the placements .

Faculty

4

There are total of 6 subjects in each semester and for each subject there is 1 faculty. Some faculties are very helpful and good in nature they teach their subjects sincerely and correct the students if they make mistakes. They check the exam papers strictly . Some faculties are there who just come to the class give lecture and then leave they don't care much about the students. But they give marks in exams. Very few faculties are there who are arrogant and they involve personal problem with students in their exams and studies. They fail the students on purpose. Not only in their subjects they give year back in the name of disciplinary action.

Night Life

2

Nightlife in the college is good if you go around in a group but it is very dangerous if you go alone and this is because of several reasons like the environment and about people who sell drugs or other items.

Placement Experience:

Placements cells are supportive in terms of networking with different companies and are readily active for the students competing in getting internships and placements. The college has a tie up with different companies like Infosys , Wipro , Deloitte , IBM , NVIDIA , Deshaw Private Limited etc. Students become eligible from semester 5 onwards for on campus placements. The offers made by these companies are 8 LPA to 9 LPA by deloitte , innfosys , and IBM but the highest package is being offered by Deshaw and NVIDIA that is 60 LPA and 47 LPA. The average package is around 11 LPA and the percentage of students getting placed are above 80%. My plan after getting the degree is to work for an IT Company to get the hands on knowledge about what the current technologies demand and get experienced in that and work further upon it.
