Remarks

I had studied my higher secondary course in a subject combination of Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology(science). Along with the higher secondary course I went for entrance coaching in a coaching centre. I was more interested in mathematics than biology so I focussed on engineering entrance exams. After entrance admission to engineering colleges are based on allotments set by our priority and merit. I opted NSS college of engineering since it is good academics and facilities among the engineering colleges in Kerala and also it is the closer my native district. The college has a nice ambience, qualified faculties, better facilities and very active in academics and co-curricular activities. Also, I opted for the mechanical engineering course since I am an enthusiast in automobile engines and working. Also, our college provides better laboratory facilities in all departments with experienced lab assistants.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
