Internships Opportunities

5

Our college provide internship opportunities in many companies. In railway internships can be done for 10 days and in Cochin shipyard, FACT, FCRI etc. These companies provide internship opportunities with specified roles and some internships provide stipend. Some of them do project in industries.

Placement Experience

4

From 6th semester onwards the students become eligible for campus placements. Many companies have visited like TCS, UST, L&T, ALSTOM, etc. Around 500 offers were made in college. The highest package is 11 LPA from Sobha constructions. Around 80% students get placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fees may vary over each sem. For odd sem fees may be around 8000 something and for even sem around 5000 something Exam fee for each paper is 210. Egrantz scholarship is providing a minimal fund for students to meet their exam fees and hostel fees

Campus Life

4

Noopuram was our arts fest and dyuksha is the tech fest and usually they are held after every 2 years in March. The students have complete access over books and journals in library. Sports and extracurricular activities have been done yearly on campus. There are many student-run clubs like IEEE, IEDC etc

Hostel Facilities

4

In hostel rooms lights and fans are provided with inverters. One room is shared among 4 in 2nd year and 3rd year and in 4th year 3 persons per room. The meal quality is good enough with a specific menu on each day. To get admission in hostel we should have good marks and according to the marks the hostel is provided and is affordable. The ladies hostel is inside the campus itself and well secured and safe inside the hostel.

Admission

I have applied in all government engineering colleges because I mostly prefer government colleges. My first preferences were Thrissur engineering college and CET. NSS College is far more better than any other colleges in Kerala and have more facilities and experienced faculties

Faculty

4

In our department there are around 60 faculties including labs and workshops. The faculties and students are in very good relationship. Whenever there is any problem for sure we can approach them without any hesitation. My favourite faculties are my tutors and I like them because they are like our parents who guide us in right path and help us in any situation and be there for us in our ups and downs. Some faculties were very rude to students, it may be because of their age. There are around 52 papers and sometimes the question paper become easy or difficult. Many students failed to clear the exams due to the academic pressure. Some of them are not able to understand the topics. The curriculum is vast enough and take more time to complete.

Interview Experience

4

The GD topic was cashless economy and interview questions were based on our subjects and CV. There should one technical round and HR round. The students were selected from GD and then technical interview has been done from that round the eligible one pass on to HR round where all sort of questions can be asked like self intro family and as well as situation based questions.

Night Life

3

In college there is gym, cafeteria, library and public areas where students can feel free. The college gate closes at 7 pm. Library and cafeteria closes at 5 pm. The hostel gate also closes by 7pm. Upto 7pm we can go to anywhere to hangout.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
