Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is good focusing on deep knowledge about the subject. We also have practical classes like Business Communication and IT in further semesters which will help us in real life situations. Teachers should use more of PDFs and Projector rather than making us write the notes.

Internships Opportunities

5

We have placement cell at our college which prrovides with the internships opportunities. Every student has a student Login at Placement Cell where it can see the internships coming in our college. I have personally registered for few internships.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements reports suggest that the average placement here is around 7 LPA for B.com Hons students and the highest being 24 LPA. Students from final year are eligible to sit for placements considering some factors. College has its own Placement Cell which bridges the gap between recruiters and students. Around 80% of the students get placed. My plan is to get an MBA after Graduation.

Campus Life

4

Xavostav is the annual fest we had which is very popular . Eminet personalities come here . It is held during the months of January . There are more than 1 lakhs + books in the libraries and jornals. I myself has visited the library and its perfect for a self study person. Libraries also has AC. Classrooms are equipped with projectors . We also have sports day . There are many societies like XCS ,XFS , XDS ,XCC, XADAM , Placement cell.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel is good. We have separate study tables , bed , fans and lights for individuals . Hostel also has Lift , badminton court , basketball court , volleyball court . Registration forms are available on college website . I would rate food as 7 on the scale of 10 . The staff here is very friendly and the rules are strict.

Admission

This college has been ranked as NIRF 6TH in 2024 . I also got SBSC in DU but I chose this because of the exposure I will get in this college because its the best college in Kolkata and one of the best colleges of India. I am also pleased about the working of different socities in college and placements reports. No, I didt get any rejection from DU . Admission in our college is based on 12th marks with a cutoff of 90% for B.com Hons .

Faculty

4.5

Faculty is good and they share good insights for future as well. They are well qualified and are very punctual. We have MID SEMS in September and finals in December for SEMESTER 1 students. Every Saturday we have presentations made by student on the topic being allotted to them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the course the b.com because I want to become the CA but after completing the graduation my family condition was not very good so I quit my studies and searching for the job. My dream was after B.com then I complete M.com then CA but I couldn't do that. I'm pursuing because I'm interested in understanding how businesses work and want a solid foundation in commerce and finance. It opens up various career paths in accounting, finance, management, and more. Plus, it's a versatile degree that can lead to professional certifications like CA, CS, or MBA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is of course outdated. Teaching methods are old. No case studies, competitions or project of any sort is there in the curriculum. Although a project of 100 marks is there in the final sem, but I don't think that's enough. There is no practicality in the curriculum and usability in career. The syllabus really needs an uplifment.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is average , I chose this course because I wanted to do an honours degree and I'm from commerce background so my first pick was B.Com . They really put efforts to prepare students for well future , as I said earlier some teachers are genuinely very good helpful supporting and good at what they do . Something they need to approve is the 70% attendance criteria, I think they need to understand not every student is just persuing graduation they are doing some other courses or jobs etc so they can't maintain 70% attendance . The frequency of timing is average
