Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum of CBCS LOCF is set on a long-term model. With the penultimate batch to get passed out on the old educational policy, the course is well set to put the students in a manner so that they can get their noses on from in competitive examinations like CUET PG and UGC NET. Thus the syllabus is apt and any student who is willing to pursue their career is well set to get placed into a good University for further studies.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
The fee that I paid was INR 8495 for the first two years excluding the exam fees. The exam fee per semester is INR 510. The fee for last year is INR 10,000. Collectively it may not go beyond 30K for a student to study at DCAC. Moreover, the university releases a scholarship circular after the admissions are over. The students can apply for them based on economic and social criteria based on the University guidelines.
Campus Life
There are many fests and that go on throughout the year. Certain fests are of the sort that everyone can be a part of. Generally, fests are held between February to April. They are one of the best months to be in college. Moreover, Delhi is a good place to be in except for months of extreme weather. Therefore the social life, career, and hanging up after college a good things. The infrastructure is pretty small in DCAC but other colleges do not disappoint. So the other colleges host singers and actors from Bollywood like Sunidi Chauhan and Shreya Ghoshal. The campus is small so nothing to talk about.
Admission
When we got through admissions, Delhi University followed a cut-off process wherein 89 percent was the first cut-off for Students belonging to the SCHEDULED CASTE quota. There are five lists based on the seats filled. Seats are reserved for SC and ST (22.5 percent) in every college of DU. OTHER QUOTAS include the WARD Quota and CW quota for Defence personnel. They are superannuated quotas and they amount to 5 percent of the seats. Exams are held on a semester basis. 5-6 months is generally the gap between examinations. Class tests and assignments hold 25 marks. Don't have an idea about the marking scheme based on NEP 2020. The admission procedure takes around 3 months to complete which puts a toll on the mental health of the applicants. Smoothing of the admission procedure is a key that can be adjudged about.
Faculty
One of the things good things to begin with regarding the faculty members of my former college is that the faculty is amazing. They delve deep into the topics relatively easy going on the students. Some of them are pretty strict regarding the assignments and academics but overall a Nine out of 10 experience for me with respect to the faculties.
