Course Curriculum Overview

2

Since my school I was very much interested in Literature and that's why I decided to pursue my graduation in English literature. And CVS is a good choice for Honours and vocational courses. What I think that improvement in course curriculum and teaching method is that they should not force us and themselves to complete the syllabus. Literature has a lot of novels in just one semester and that's is real pressure for teachers to complete the syllabus in 3-4 months and they go very fast and most of all are not able to understand. Exams are not very tough it's average you can easily pass but the main problem is timing between the semesters it only of 4 month or we can say 3 month as they took a whole last month in assignment, internal test and presentation and that's where the real pressure comes.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

We get good intership opportunities every time. Like right now there is vacation leave after exams and there a lot of summer internship our college is providing. So I think in intership thing our college is good

Placement Experience

1.5

Students of 5th semester become eligible for placement in our college. CVS provide us college placement but I would say that it not very good. It's okay it's very very average and its only for vocational courses such as MMRB, TOURISM, BSE, HRM and not for Honors courses.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

Fees in very affordable. Average fee of every course is 12000- 15000 per year which I think is pretty affordable. And people with low income family can apply for special quota which can return their all fee. CVS doesn't provide us hostel faculty and the nearby pgs and flats charges are high. There are lot of societies and we have placement cell which provides placement to lot of students I won't say that placement is very nice yeah it's okay. And we get a lot opportunities for internship.

Campus Life

3

Overall the experience with this college is not okay the college crowd, infrastructure and teachers are really nice but here they don't conduct a proper fest which is for a college student. Here are a lot of societies for students who are interested in different things such as dace society, music, photography, debating, literature, poetry, and NSS is also a part of our college.

Admission

CVS is part of Delhi University so the entrance exam we have to give is CUET and if we are qualified we have to fill the preference list of colleges we want In DU and then according to our marks and course we are alloted the college. And then you can easily take admission in college you are alloted by paying the fee and if you don't the college you can also apply for update.

Faculty

3

The faculty of CVS is nice. Teachers and professors are great as it ensure the provision of high-quality academic programs. Faculty members provide us valuable perspective and insight and help us to gain a deeper understanding and faculty members have great knowledge. We often interact with teachers here classes are regular and even if we need any kind of help we can go to Staff room and take help with our teachers.

Sri Venkateswara College provides placements for Science and Commerce Students, not for BA Students. The college has a good record in the placement cell. I am an Arts student so I don't have any placement. So I choose UPSC as my career option. I will try until I succeed.
