Likes

Most of Teachers are disciplined & punctual to work
Mix of people from all over India.. seniors are good
Different clubs like Technical club gives opportunities..

Dislikes

Single teacher teaches more than 1 subject ,shortage of faculty for specific subjects
Canteen size and food is average compared to other colleges
Not much importance given to sports ..we have a single ground in which most of the sport is somehow played & managed..

Exams happen every month..there are 3 internal exams + lab exams + external exams every semester..it is not hard to pass but it's quite challenging to score good marks after reaching 2nd year .. curriculum is according to VTU ..not everything is relevant in that scheme but quite useful

From 3rd year people are eligible for placements .. highest CTC offered us 30LPA and average is 5.5 ..College can land you a decent job if you work really hard on your skills and learn extra or learn what is taught correctly and in-depth...

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees does hike every year. Cost of education for management seats is huge ..starts from 4.5L to 7L per year . If you're aiming for this college better come through an exam like kcet /comedk because the fees difference is huge ..

Campus Life

Infrastructure is average..what matters more is the teaching they provide which is decent enough .. Extracurricular activities can be done ..but won't get any special treatment because of that and grades should be fine as well ..

Admission

Eligibility is 10+2 with pcm .. Apply for kcet ,get a good rank &save a lot of your tuition fees .. Reservations are present in kcet for sc/st .. They get seats on a much lower rank compared to general candidates.

Faculty to student ratio is average ..they try their best to teach the concepts important for the exams.. Faculty is well educated & qualified in terms of education but somewhat on the lower side while conveying knowledge & teaching..

Though i needed cse with cybersecurity but i didnt get it so i went with Robotics and ai. In first year they have many subjects of all course which are basic and fundamentals of all branches Some are good in real world application They should add more practical stuff then theories We have 1 to 1½ month gap betwen internals and some 10 days gap between 2nd internal and sem difficult level varies every year

Think more than Twice

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am a tech-enthusiast and chip designing is something i have been keen to know about and hence i went in for ECE Course. The curriculum is just same as the other engineering colleges. Detailed enough to pass the semester end exams. Teaching methods and the equipments need to be changed. Its high time. While other colleges are using well designed new technologies for lab experiments, ours is still stuck on the old methods which is very frustrating as we dont receive accurate results that affects our performance.

My MBA journey through CMR Institute of Technology

No i didn’t apply any other colleges and this college was suggested by one of my friend who is also studying in engineering department as she told that the placements are good. You can take admissions through directly or through writing PGCET exam and there is no admission fee or any other fees that is required to get the admission process. Once you talk to the college administration department they withh send link and other necessary information to confirm you admission and then you can pay the fees and they will block your seats. For MBA you have to Write KMAT or other MBA releated exams to get admission or you can write PGCET exam to get the seat in college as you will have to cmgive the college name in option entry....Read More
