Likes
- Supportive faculty. Most of the faculty is very helpful and supportive.
- College location is great. There’s many eateries and stores around. Even travel is easy because of metro.
Dislikes
- Didn’t get a lot of exposure. Not much hands on experience. It all depends on you.
- Schedules are long. Classes start really early too.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum i woukd say is moderately relevant. Offers a good foundational structure like DSA, OOPS, c and everything. The semesters are well defined and because of labs theres some exposure to real world programming as well.
Internships Opportunities
There are many companies coming for internships, some even come during second year. They come for multiple roles, you can apply for whatever youre interested in. They mostly ask about your projects and past work ex if any.
Placement Experience
From semester 6, the placements start. We have many good companies and startups visiting us. Theres a lot of internship opportunities as well. Every student gets to take maximum 2 offers. I got placed in my 7th sem, planning to work after graduation then maybe go for higher studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
I had gotten in through kcet, so my total tution fee comes around 5 lakh for 4 years. So first year it was around 90k, then onwards 1 lakh change. For my batchmates, for those who got through comedk its around 2.5 lakh per year and management fees depends on the course, CSE being the highest.
Campus Life
Theres the annual sports fest SPARDHA, theres technical fests. And the cultural fest, cultura. Its pretty decent. Throughout the year, the clubs also hold a lot of activities for people to participate in.
Hostel Facilities
I stayed in the hostel for a year. Hostel is pretty good, its clean, food is okay. It's nice if you make friends. But because of the strict timings and regulations, we moved to a PG in our second year.
Admission
this was honestly my firat choice. My parents were keen on me studying in bangalore itself since we've lived here all our lives. I did get into other colleges but because of location i chose this. I got through kcet at around 12k rank.
Faculty
Most faculties are knowledgeable in their respective fields but depends from one professor to another. Some prefer practical knowledge, some go strictly by the book. Course curriculum is fine. There are mostly two internals in a sem. There are re exams if a student fails.
Night Life
there honestly isnt any nightlife inside the college. It's a small campus. It's different for hostellers, they have strict timings. By 8, they need to be inside. But outside the college, it's pretty packed. There's everything you need.
