Course Curriculum Overview

Got to know much about how people's mind work How to behave, polish my personality, attitude. Got to know how to handle people with any disorders and help them. But teaching method must improve because whatever we read , the most important thing is how much we understand, some of teachers don't do that really. And about exam ...as 6 months for each semester is very short time still there is an understanding between teachers and students. So exams schedule are going good.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee is really okay and scholarship is provided by university and that is really great to help people financially. I appreciate it. SNU scholarship is really helping so many students who came from a middle class family. In campus we do workshops based on mental well-being, psychological programs also there to increase motivation and involvement within students.

Campus Life

Farewell, fests everything is there and also programs based on student's well. Some social groups or cultural clubs and events should be there. Though mental health wellness programs are available to provide the awareness among students and people. For example programs based on world autism Day and so on.

Admission

Eligibility of the course was result must be more than 55% in graduation level. Student must maintain 80% above in graduation level was for the SNU scholarship. Admission process was really good and quick... Did not have to wait too much. Timing of the exam should be given more to the students. Like for 3 hours.

HOD is very great and she is very much friendly to us and also kind , have the ability to solve the problem and other professor as well . But some of them are little strict like they know everything. Overall experience is good.

Actually Some of the Local Companies & Private banks Offer placements which are averagely worth 250000/-. Some of the Students appear for it , but the Number is Very less. Actually In Present Circumstances , Most students wants a stable Government, Especially Central Gov job . So they Prepare for exams like SSC , SBI , IBPS, LIC , RRB etc.

Niper Kolkata: from starting to end

Placement Experience:

2nd year students are eligible for the campus placement. Sai, Hetero, mendine, dr. Reddys etc companies visities for the campus placement. Offers ranges from 5-12 lpa. 60% students gets placed, 10% goes for higher studies and others get job off campus in my department. Other departments has 100% placement. My plans are pHd from Niper as it provides vast knowledge and instrumental exposure.

My decision to choose this course depended on the fact that this course provides you with the opportunity to get various jobs in the industries with a high lpa. But this college does not help much in that aspect. All I had to do was myself. It is my humble opinion that the institution should improve its guidance in the area of its teaching methods. The exams were twice a year and were quite difficult on their own.

Insights of SNU

There are a few private colleges present in Kolkata which provides biotechnology but in my opinion the labs of those colleges are not as well furnished as ours. There curriculum is little different than ours. I didn't apply to any other colleges apart from Snu for biotechnology I sat for an online exam .And I cleared the test. Once you get a call you visit the college campus meet the faculty and the faculty may take a type of interview session The addmission process is smooth. But sometimes the staff members of admission makes blunder. My classes were about to start from 17 August, but they called me during July( because she didn't know that biotechnology does not fall under para- medical and made a mistake and for her mistake I had to suffer as I'm not a resident of Kolkata)...Read More
