Likes
- The faculty was very supportive and understanding, the campus was clean.
- Other benefits were also provided which was a seminar hall, a library, a basket ball court, a canteen, a cafe.
- The academics were never compromised. Transportation was also decent.
Dislikes
- There were less events and fest organise by the college.
- The lifts were less with respect to students in the campus, we need to stand in a long queue mostly in examination times.
- Placements for some departments can be increased.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum was well-structured, and each semester, there were projects and presentations that also helped to test our knowledge. I got influenced as the curriculum provides us with financial economics, political economics, and Applied mathematics. The level of the exams was decent, related to the course. They could improve in teaching more practical knowledge and projects related to that, instead of only learning in a theoretical way.
Fees and Financial Aid
At first, my admission fee(including the 1st semester fee) was: Rs 56,500. Admission, registration, induction program fee - Rs 18,000; uniform - Rs 8000; Caution money - Rs 10,000; tuition fee - Rs 5,200; LMS fee - Rs 2,000; Student insurance fee - RS 1,200; Foreign language training - Rs 1,500; Student activities - Rs 2,500; Library fee - Rs 2,500; Emerging industry training - Rs 2,600; Examination fee - Rs 3,000 which sum upto Rs 56,500. Per semester, my fee was RS 20,500. yes, it is increasing now. For economics, the admission fee(including the 1st semester) is Rs 65,750, and from the 2nd semester, the fee is Rs 26,750. For B.Com total fee is Rs 2,55,000 For BBA total fee is Rs 5,53,000
Campus Life
The campus was decent in size, and it had a good library, a cafe, canteen. It had two different buildings for different departments. The sports were also organized by the college sports society in the months of March - April.
Admission
I had applied to various colleges like Bethune College, Presidency University, and Shri Sikhshayatan College. I got confirmed admission in one of the colleges, but I chose this one because of their exam structure, the curriculum. I did not make it to some of the colleges because of the cutoffs.
Faculty
There were a good number of faculty members. The teachers were easily accessible and were always ready to help. They used to help us in our projects, presentations, and even during exam time. Per semester, there are two exams ( mid-semester and end-of-semester). Teachers used to take weekly tests also.
Night Life
The cafeteria was pretty good, the public area was clean and quiet. There were many hostels near the college, and some new hostels were under construction during my time. Some famous places were Axis Mall, Central Mall, good cafes, Eco park, Wax museum, and good surroundings of offices.
