Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum was so so. It was organised and well planned but the examination pattern was not that much pleasing as it was pressurable and made us give the semester exams and also the summer quarter exams together.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 167000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The college had provided us with various internship oppurtunities as we were in our final year . Various non IT companies had visited our college along with IT companies also . But mostly the NON IT companies were verty keen to take us and the level of interest they used to show in taking us was tremendous. We had a lot of oppurtunity in our final year to get interned at a certain company.

Placement Experience

The placements in our college is decent. The average salary package a student used to get from our college was around 4lakhs to 5 lakhs per annum. Mainly they used to bring non IT companies to the IT students. It was rare that IT companies used to comer in bulk.

Fees and Financial Aid

year wise fees- 1,67,000/ INR . Students from different categories had joined the college. The college had different courses and different scholarship features for students. The infrastructure of the college was great and along with the faculty.

Campus Life

The social life in the college was good compared to the educational life in the college. They often used to have feasts and college programmes. Also the sports competition used to be memorable in our college.

Admission

I had chosen my college Sister nivedita university because i had heard about the college from my seniors and also from the admission cell regarding the placement strategies and also about how good the faculties arer and the level of training that are provided in the college before placements.

Faculty

The faculty were very helpful as they helped us in each and every single hurdle we had faced during our journey i the college. They had guided us appropriately and made us achieve our goal . We were prud to have such faculty.

Interview Experience

Yes , i had faced a group discussion along with that a written test was also given at that time. The difficulty level of the test at that time was moderate and the pattern of the entry level test was comparatively easy than the other colleges.

Night Life

The nightlife weas amazing in the college campus because our college was located in the most porsce area of Kolkata that was newtown. And the nightlife over there was amazing. The college used to glow in lights and the ambience used to be amazing at that time.

The placement performance in my college is average few student get decent placement otherwise many sales company come and took the student .Around 30 percent student in my class got placement by college other strudents get placed by thereselves there is no role of placement and training department in this.

Shaping My Future: A Comprehensive Review of College Life and Academics

Placement Experience:

After 7th semester companies started coming and there is different criteria for different companies like some company have criteria for more then 8.5 cgpa will be able to seat only in their placement conducting it is totally based on company preferences. The highest package was 9 lpa and average package was 3 lpa. Around 60 percent student get placed in my department.

Companies started coming around 7 th semester there is different criteria for different companies like you have more tan nine cgpa then you are eligible for that particular company. Around 50 percent people in my class get placed . Companies like TCS ,wipro EY are mass hiring company.

The life in HITK

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement in cse, it ,ece and sometimes elec branches. The others dpt also offers a quite unique variety of placements from different companies. Nearly 60 percent of the students have been placed in this year and others are still on board for a positive response.

Placement Experience:

Here students become eligible to sit in campus placement from 6th semester. Many companies come here. The average package here is 5 lakhs and the highest here is 20 lakhs it's gone.Here 95% of the students get placement.My plan is to do M.Tech after completing my degree.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of my college is very strong.From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements.There are around 50 companies visited in the college such as TCS,Intel. Microsft. Deloitte,etc.205 students are placed in TCS in year 2019. 415 students are placed in campus placement last year. Maximum CTC was 25 lacs/pa and average CTC was 5.5 lacs/pa previous year.After Jadhavpur University,the average CTC of the college is higher than IEM. Above 95% placements for IT,CSE and ECE students.There are around 55-60% placements in other department.My plans are doing some great things after getting the degree.

There are a few private colleges present in Kolkata which provides biotechnology but in my opinion the labs of those colleges are not as well furnished as ours. There curriculum is little different than ours. I didn't apply to any other colleges apart from Snu for biotechnology I sat for an online exam .And I cleared the test. Once you get a call you visit the college campus meet the faculty and the faculty may take a type of interview session The addmission process is smooth. But sometimes the staff members of admission makes blunder. My classes were about to start from 17 August, but they called me during July( because she didn't know that biotechnology does not fall under para- medical and made a mistake and for her mistake I had to suffer as I'm not a resident of Kolkata)...Read More
