Great faculty who supports you , atleast that's how it is in the IT department
Placements are decent but don't expect any crazy level packages.

Dislikes

It's too damn hot in the classes especially during summer.
Some of the first year faculty are very bad but they're only for first year.

Course Curriculum Overview :

?There are two or three profressors holding actual PhDs in every department which is rare in ktu colleges. ?Teachers in our department are very approachable, even our hod is friendly which is good because you can approach her if you want something done without worry

Class Size : 116Course Fees : INR 30000 per year

Placement Experience :

?Students became eligible for campus placement after the 5th semester ?A lot of reputed firms including Accenture,Federal Bank,BMW,Infosys and TCS were present ?About 80% of students who passed the course got placement ?I would like to branch out to data science or finance after obtaining this degree

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

?There are two schemes for fees one for kerala students and one for all india. ?The all india fees are almost double that of state merit. ?For some reservations there is minimal fees. ?Mess and accodomation fees will be hugh as you will have to take privatefor the first two years

Campus Life :

?There are a lot of fests within the college and at the university level as well which you can attend as well. ?There are two libraries one for engineering and one for university level both are very good ?The sports facilities are decent. ?There are lot of students clubs like gdsc,ieee,tech clubs,gaming club ,space club, literature club and many more

Admission :

?You are eligible for the course only if you have passed both 10th and 12th or equivalent. ?One can find all the application related stuff at cusat.ac.in ?Exam was not as tough as JEE but still some questions were hard.There was only one hour alloted for each subject beyond which you could not access the questions of the subject. ?The spot admission process could have been a little more smoother.

Campus is choosen wisely

Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually the university curriculum is bit old fasion.Like the technology is a way head of the things that we are studying in the sessions.But the basis are well learned from it.The improvement we need in that is that to get out of the instituion as a proffesional that can handle the new technolgy that the real world work in.The curriculum is need to improve so much as per the technology improves the students want to know what all changes that are happening in the real world and they want to be trained according to that.

My Journey at MITS

Placement Experience:

Our campus placement will begin from 7th semester. From 5th semester onwards college will provide training for placements and we have placement cell for this. An average LPA of 5 is provided from our college. Good amount of companies visit our campus for placement and we also get oppertunity to go for off campus placement

In the 7th and 8th semesters, the students become eligible for campus placements. Infosys, and Spyridian, are the companies that often come for placements .3 -4 lakhs is the highest package given by these companies.The percentage of students getting placement is about 50-70. My plan is to go for higher studies or to go for a job.

SEEING STCET THROUGH MY VISION

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd year onwards we could attend placement interviews and many companies used to approach our college but mostly IT companies as I was in civil dept the construction companies were very less or NIL. In our batch, most of the students got placed and many offer letters but the only disadvantage was the offers were not from the core companies.
