What Students Say

Likes

The campus is clean and green and well maintained which regular dustbins
The clubs are really active and the seniors are very helpful and friendly.
Seniors offer to teach us the different skills required

Dislikes

The infrastructure can be improved especially the first year classrooms
The washrooms are not that clean and it creates huge problem sometimes
The gym and swimming pool is not open most of the times so can't really enjoy those facilities

Course Curriculum Overview

Well the course might be a little outdated which is the case for most government Engineering Colleges but it is effective in providing students which real life experiences and it is improving gradually. Also the coding culture is really active which allows us to learn and improve.

Class Size: 90Course Fees: INR 142000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internship trainings are available for first year students. Students are encouraged to learn the skills and apply them effectively. Internships are offered to second year students and higher by renowned companies

Placement Experience

Students are eligible for placement from the college from fifth semester onwards. The average package is around 8lpa and highest package offered this year was 58lpa. Many renowned companies such as Google, Amazon, Microsoft, etc visit the campus

Fees and Financial Aid

The Tuition fee for Gen and OBC students with income above 8lpa is 68,000 along with library fee, exam fee, mess and hostel fee it sums up to around 1lakh per semester. There are scholarships available for SC, ST and EWS students.

Campus Life

The annual technical fest of our college is Instruo. There are other tech fests organised by individual departments. Different sports are organised by the seniors' Halls. There are lots of clubs and societies as well.

Hostel Facilities

There are a total of 17 hostels out which 3 are girls' hostels. First year students have separate hostels with 4 occupancy rooms that are not very good infrastructure wise. The food is mediocre. The senior hostels have better infrastructure with triple, double and single occupancy rooms.

Hostel Fee: INR 35000 per year

Admission

Our college is the first and only IIEST. It is one of the oldest engineering colleges and is very well known and renowned for departments of civil engineering. Admission can be taken through JEE Mains, DASA( for foreign Students).

ELIGIBILITY FOR CAMPUS PLACEMENT: At Brainware University students generally become eligible for campus placement from the final years of their course. For many programs placemnet preparation sactivities such as aptitude training, soft skills development, resume building, mock interviews begin earlier, you can say that these activities are incoporated from the 1st semester itself. COMAPINES VISIT: Several reowned and reputed compaines from IT, management,healthcare,media, and core sectors visits the university for campus recruitment. Placement drive include companines from domains such as software services, consulting,education,sales digital marketing etc. For my domain CSE AIML companies like Infosys,Amazon,Cognizant,Adobe etc visits. Each year multiple students receive job offers through campus drives and some students also secure multiple offers depending on their skills and performance. HIGHEST AND AVERAGE PACKAGE OFFERED: The highest package offered varies by course and recruiter and also with top performing students receive highest packages based on their role requirements and skills. It range from 12 LPA to 45 LPA. The average package offered to students is competitive for a private university and aligns with industry standards for entry level roles. These generally range from 3.5 to 8 LPA. PRECENTAGE OF STUDENTS GETTING PLACED: Placement outcome mostlky depend on academic performance, attendance, communication skills, technical knowledge, and participation in training sessions. Students who actively engage in placement preparation have better placement success. About 98% students were placed in 2023. Placement was average if you have good background knowledge so you will definitely get placed. After 7th semester companies started coming and also there is different criteria for all companies like some company required more than 8 CGPA that completely dependent on company preferences. The average package is 3.5 lpa .Most of the student get hired by tcs. Placement success based on branch and skill.

The placement cell of my college is very strong.From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements.There are around 50 companies visited in the college such as TCS,Intel. Microsft. Deloitte,etc.205 students are placed in TCS in year 2019. 415 students are placed in campus placement last year. Maximum CTC was 25 lacs/pa and average CTC was 5.5 lacs/pa previous year.After Jadhavpur University,the average CTC of the college is higher than IEM. Above 95% placements for IT,CSE and ECE students.There are around 55-60% placements in other department.My plans are doing some great things after getting the degree.

I have not applied in any other college Before taking admission in this college. I have availed OBC-NCL quota and homestate quota for the admission. The admission criteria for my program is based on the ranking in JEE mains exam.The minimum cut off rank to take admission in this program is 30,000 and my ranking was 19,000 in OBC-B quota. The admission process in this college is done by counselling.This counselling is done by JOSAA. They publish name pannel for the eligible students to take admission.There are 7 paneel rounds along with 2 special rounds in the counselling procedure.
