I did not apply for any other college. I applied for colleges in josaa and the ones which were above IIEST, I considered few of them better and few due to NIRF ranking. The admission process if very simple. One will have to give jee after that they will have to apply for josaa counselling. If they have good enough rank, and they get any branch then they will be have to come to the college on the date specified by the college on their website. Our college IIEST SHIBPUR (Erstwhile B.E college ) takes admission through JEE main . The brand value of BENGAL ENGINEERING COLLEGE (B.E College) is huge and IIEST is trying to cope up with its legacy (it's doing pretty well these days after COVID phase ).Our campus is of 123 Acres , it's totally lush green with 2613 number of trees and our campus looks mesmerizing in rainy season mainly . Course fee per semester is approximately Rs70,000(for general category students ) and there is complete waiver for SC/ST students and for those students whose family income is less than 1 lakh per annum. There is two third fee waiver for candidates whose annual parental income lies between 1lakh to 5lakh . Reservations are available (as any other central University would give ) ; there are reservations for SC/ST OBC/EWS and 10% seats are reserved for Girls .
