Course Curriculum Overview

4

I would rate the course curriculum 8 out of 10, as the course curriculum contains all the informative subjects which are industry relevant like Programming language, Data Structure, Analysis of Algorithm, Operating System, Computer Network, Digital Electronics, Computer Organization and Architecture, Compiler Design, Theory of Computation, Engineering Mathematics, Discrete Mathematics, Graph theory, Soft Skills etc.

Placement Experience

4

The last few years placement is better. The placement is around 80%. From the final year, the students are allowed to sit in placement drive. The placement begins in Aug-Sept and it goes upto April - May. The number of campany visited in the last year is 80+ and around 400+ students got placed in our department. Now comes to my plans, I want to work in a core reputed organization in which I can grow my future career and learns from senior professionals.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fees including tution fees and other fees(i.e. registration fees, causion fees, admission fees, lab fees etc.) of all B.Tech courses is almost same, around 480000. The fees is breaking down into semester wise, where each semester fees around 56k - 62k. But, they provides the scholarship facility as per merit basis and early enrollment basis on 12 marks: Above 90% : 50k Between 80% - 90% : 40k Between 70% - 80% : 30k Between 60% - 70% : 15k Every year, the tution fees is increasing about 40k.

Campus Life

4

The campus life is very joyful of our campus with around 12000 students. The yearly annual program is full of joy with friends and also including faculty. Techfest like Smart India Hackathon(SIH) Internal Hackathon etc. are conducted by our university. Brainware University has two libraries, one is Central Library and another is Pharmacy Library. These libraries has sufficient ammount of books whichever are needed to our syllabus. Our university also conducts internal and external sports ( like football, cricket, gamming, carrom board, volleyball etc.) both among various departments and announced price for the winner team. Extracurriculum including workshop, National day, etc.

Admission

First of all it is a private university, so there is no any chances of rejection of you have sufficient percentage in 10 and 12. I decided two colleges, Brainware University and JIS university. Out of these, I choose Brainware University because of the placement scenario and financial condition. Brainware University provides best academics along with better placement with an affordable fees.

Faculty

5

The faculty number is greater, it is around 60. The student-faculty ratio is 11:1 and all faculty are student friendly. All of faculty are friendly but among them I personally likes the core subjects faculty as they always stands at the time of coding or projects. The exams are categorised into two categories: Internal and External Internal exam marks are evaluated through two class tests + two assignments + presentation. The internal exam is moderate level, not so hard. External exam is conducted in the own university. This exam is tougher as compared to internal exam.

Night Life

5

Our campus is opened till 10 P.M. Till that time hostellers can enjoy their campus life . The hostel building and classroom building are blooming with colorful lights. Day scholars, who are leaving on PG, they also enjoy with friends to gossip inside the tea stalls. The whole university has only one gym that is not sufficient for all students. The university gym contains all types of instruments . But students who are not allotted for university gym, they enjoys outside paid gym

It had French, Pscycology, environmnet sci, Marketing and also a lot of sports imnvolved. There were 2 semesters per year. The teaching methods are quite good along with modern tech. IITs are known for their placements, and this is exactly where they shine as compared to other colleges. From 7th semester onwards, the placements begin and is conducted by the CDC (Career development centre) in two phases. The highest package was around 2.5 Cr, with the average being around 22 lpa. Top recruiting companies include Google, Microsoft, Optiver, other HFTs which accounted for most of the highest packages offered. Around 75% of the students got placed during the 2025-2026 placement season.

Since I'm in first year so I don't got into my specialization that much , but from my knowledge we are getting knowledge about all domain in a portion which will help us in our future . This also helps us to decide that specifically which domain is best for us . Since I'm in first year so I didn't have my exams yet because of the late admission in college the reason for late admission was stay in admission by the Calcutta Highcourt due to some issues on reservation.
