Hostel Life which is very happening and good.
Campus life which is very engaging and fast paced.
Student of thapar as many people are ther from differnt states.

Dislikes

High Academic fees which is above average than other colleges
Hostel in time which is 8:30 pm and compulsory.
Hectic schedule of college and tough exams.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is quite advanced. New and different types of technologies are used to teach children like Blockchain, AWS, Arduino, raspberry pi. Experiential lerning workshops are also conducted every semester.

Class Size: 30Course Fees: INR 450000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities are compartively less than placement opprtunities. Even if there is a company providing internship they prefer female candidates over male candidates which i think is a little unfair.

Placement Experience

Campus placement is quite good and is above average than most of the other engineering colleges. Average package is around 15,00,000 per annum and highest package goes up to 45,00,000 per annum. Companies like google and amazon also comes to offer placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

Academic fees which inculdes Tuition fess, Exam fees, development fees, medical fess is around 2,25,000 per semester. Hostel fees and mess fees is around 70,000/- per semester. Hostel fees is reasonable but academic is a bit high.

Campus Life

Campus life is actually very good. There are a lot of societies, around 60+ active societies are there in campus Regular fests and events are conducted by these societies. Infrastructure on college is very advanced and overall campus is very beautiful.

Hostel Facilities

In hostel facilities we get 1 room which could be wither 1 sharing, 2 sharing, 3 sharing or 4 sharing, Fees of these rooms differ. Rooms with AC costs more than non Ac rooms and Rooms with shared washrooms also costs more.

Hostel Fee: INR 140000 per year

Admission

Admission Process was very smooth. You can apply for admission in thapar through Thapar's website and fill application form for 1500/-. Likely cutoff for Computer branches is around 95-99 JEE percentile. I didnt like that 50% seats are reserved for punjab residency students.

Chandigarh University - My experience from fees to social life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is good and cover every aspects of learning and skills needed in today's time but it feels the semester get over to fast in around 3.5 months with 3 exams and lab exam. They should provide the real learning based on a student interest some student are good in coding but they lack to communicate better, they should focus on that part also as they also do in many cases by giving subjects like soft skills and communication skills every sem.The teacher should not be reading the ppt only . We can do that also why we are paying that much fees just to learn from a teacher who is just reading the slides.

Placement Experience:

My plan is to pursue masters but placements at LPU are best. Over 100 tech comapnies have tie-ups with our university and all of them are of highest regard. From Code tech to Flipkart and Google every big tech company come to our campus. Student have bagged packages close to 1 crores as well from LPU campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

i would rate the course curriculum as largely relevant and fairly comprehensive,. one of the main reasons i chose this course was the balance between conceptual foundations and practical exposure. the curricuum supports future academic growth since many of the modules introduce us to advance topics early, making it easier to explore research. some topics feel slightly outdated and could be aligned better with the current industry skills and technologies. the exam schedule is manageable, though sometimes multiple assessments happen in the same week or same day, ehich adds pressure . Spacing out evaluations a bit more and giving clearer rubrics could improve the overall experience

6th Semester Students Become Eligible for Campus Placements Companies which comes in university - Amazon,Google , Microsoft,IBM, Adobe,Qualcomm etc they made offers from 10 LPA to 1 CR or more Highest Package was 54.75 LPA with international package 1.7 Cr Average Package 8LPA Percentage of students getting placed were more that 90% My plan after degree is to get a decent Package from a reputed company and get settled

Honest is the best Policy

I was getting addmission in some other private colleges but this was near to me and had a great rew.. Its infra and hostels are really worth it. I applied for VIT and SRM but didn't take admission due to poor quality of placements and peer group. I am from the General Outside Punjab quota.
