Likes

Hostel facilities are really good hostels look like a hotel
The campus infrastructure is top class, it's very beautiful and lot of trees
Transportation - E rickshaws are available which takes you anywhere in campus for 10 rs.

Dislikes

The hostel mess, sometimes the food is so baad you cannot finish it.
The 75% rule for attendance compulsion with a hectic time table
When someone fails they need to pay 10 thousand to clear one couse which is a lot.

Course Curriculum Overview

The courses are good, in first year it includes courses of all branches so that a student can change branch according to their interests. The faculty of some courses are very good and it's interesting to study, but some are very bad and you don't wanna attend their class.

Class Size: 24Course Fees: INR 400000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fees is 1.8 lakh + health insurance + examination fees + development fees and service fees include all that and 1 semester cost around 2,40,000/- scholarships are available but given to students above 9 cgpa. The only financial aid given to non scholarship students is student loan.

Campus Life

Several events happen around the year by different clubs. Thapar food festival - kindof like a zomaland fest where there's a n artist performance with food held around September and SAT where artists perform there are band battles, fashion walk and much more these are some of the main events apart from them there are several events handled by many different clubs and the cover almost all the fields. You can choose clubs based on your interests.

Admission

Application forms were available online on website and wasceasy to find and apply, we were given plenty of time because last dates were almost extended everytime. Personally I did have the reservation benifits but the college offers 50% reservation for Punjab students which is a lot and it makes it difficult for the non Punjab students to get in it should be reduced to 20%. Exams are generally medium level you can study for them in 1 night but you don't get any holidays before the exam to prepaid and the gap between the exams are generally 1-2 days.

Chandigarh University - My experience from fees to social life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is good and cover every aspects of learning and skills needed in today's time but it feels the semester get over to fast in around 3.5 months with 3 exams and lab exam. They should provide the real learning based on a student interest some student are good in coding but they lack to communicate better, they should focus on that part also as they also do in many cases by giving subjects like soft skills and communication skills every sem.The teacher should not be reading the ppt only . We can do that also why we are paying that much fees just to learn from a teacher who is just reading the slides.

Course Curriculum Overview:

i would rate the course curriculum as largely relevant and fairly comprehensive,. one of the main reasons i chose this course was the balance between conceptual foundations and practical exposure. the curricuum supports future academic growth since many of the modules introduce us to advance topics early, making it easier to explore research. some topics feel slightly outdated and could be aligned better with the current industry skills and technologies. the exam schedule is manageable, though sometimes multiple assessments happen in the same week or same day, ehich adds pressure . Spacing out evaluations a bit more and giving clearer rubrics could improve the overall experience

Honest is the best Policy

I was getting addmission in some other private colleges but this was near to me and had a great rew.. Its infra and hostels are really worth it. Bits Pilani was the other college that I applied for but in there entrance exam I didn't score enough to get a branch of my liking. I applied for VIT and SRM but didn't take admission due to poor quality of placements and peer group. I am from the General Outside Punjab quota.
