Greenary and fresh air and water , cleanliness makes our mind fresh.
Most opportunities and almost all course with highest seats are available in IIT KGP
Biggest Campus among all IITs so IIT KGP has its own heritage.

Dislikes

Sometimes ,i feel that i am confined to this iit since Kharagpur has only iit which is fascinating

Course Curriculum Overview

The first year is common for btech students .My first semester was majorly chemistry ,programming language C and English for communication.In 2nd semester,we have electrical ,mechanical engineering and environmental.

Class Size: 150Course Fees: INR 150000 per year

Internships Opportunities

All internships are available in our college with all companies like Apple, google, microsoft and all tech and core field such as software, coding, consultancy and finance. So CDCs start from 3rd year ownwards for internships and placements.

Placement Experience

It depends if you are from computer science department then average pakage that you get will be around twenty lpa if other departments then it would be around ten lpa .Since, It is IIT Kharagpur so, most of students get their desired placements

Fees and Financial Aid

Per semester fee is 150000.But , if your family income is less than 500000 then tuition fee reduced if less than ?100000 then tuition fee becomes zero . MCM scholarships is provided to students if minimum cgpa is maintained .

Campus Life

Campus experience is great and fun. Two main fest of IIT KGP :Kshitij:The tech fest, Spring Fest: The cultural fest. All types of books and research letters and all books are available in library.Classrooms are high tech oriented with smart projectors, Acs and all type of tech with power sockets. All sports and their grounds are available in college and All Extra academic activities are open to all.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are well furnished with clean wardobes and fan ,lights meal quality is fine and sometimes excellent. Mess is clean and hygienic . Registration process for hostel is also very simple and affordable with mess charges.All hostels are located inside the campus only and are compulsary for all.

Hostel Fee: INR 37000 per year

Admission

I had qualifed JEE ADVANCED-2023 then apply for JOSSA Councelling -2023 for admission in IITs.Then got this college iit kgp then i had to pay admission fee .Actually the cuttoff was 80 marks , I got 140

Should I Choose IEM.

Placement Experience:

Eligibility for placement is from 3rd year,with tier 1 companies visiting like Google, Amazon along with mass requiters like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro etc.Last year heights placement package was 72LPA offered to 15 students and average was 2-3 LPA.

Okay college and decent placement

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is same as all low 3 tier colleges which is nearly 4-5 lpa average salary given by mass recuitor companies .The companies are infosys , ltimindtree , accenture , ibm , capgemini , cognigent , etc .The placement rate is nearly 60 to 70 percent.

Heritage Institute of Technology: A Detailed Observation

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements from third year that is after 5th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and IBM are amongst the mass hirers. Almosy 80 percent of the students get placed every year and the top 10 percent of the students receive high paying job offers. The average package is around 4.86 LPA and in 2023, the highest package was 16 LPA and in 2022, the highest package was 44 LPA. Talking about my future plans, I wish to pursue my masters abroad after completing my undergraduate course here.

Plans after getting the degree: My plans depends on placement.If I get a job of around 15 LPA then I will not do master degree and if I get job of around 4-5 LPA then I will do master for further great opportunities

Placement Experience:

Despite the low fee structure, my college provides a good placements. Almost every student of CSE Dept who sit for placement, gets the placement between 4lpa - 6lpa. Last year the highest package was ?12 lpa. ECE department has the lowest percentage of placements. And other engineering departments have between 60-70% placement. All the mentioned above is the description of in campus placement. Not many students of my college opt for out campus. But if they do, they get good placements as per the reports. In 2021 a student secured the job in Microsoft, with the placement of ?45 lpa (out campus).

Other colleges I applied for is IIT Delhi because it is nearer to my home and is well reputed college and have a great field in Tech.I opt this college because I am interested in Tech field. I finally chose IIT KGP beacuse it is providing me better branch than IIT Delhi and I got interested in this college beacuse my teacher in myh senior schoo is also from IIT KGP they taught me a lot of stories of there college time and I talked to some seniors of college for admissionb regarding prespective so they advised for IIT KGP.Therefore I chose IIT KGP over IIT Delhi.
